Excellent room and facilities. Being up the mountain a little access can be a little complicated after the ski bus stops

A quality hotel with privacy and superb facilities in an exceptional setting.

QUIET and PEACEFUL This is a quiet hotel and set high above the town of Engleberg in an exceptionally beautiful setting. Two floors of this six floor hotel are devoted to outside guests while a third party rents the four other floors. The hotel can seem underpopulated but this is the reason. WELLNESS CENTRE This was a complete highpoint of the hotel - a truly superb large pool with excellent low lighting, varied water massage options, and a mountain view. VIEWS All the spacious rooms have substantial balconies with superb views across the valley to Mount Titlis (3300m) opposite and views of the town far below. The breakfast room is fully glassed and has superb views, as does an outside terrace. RESTAURANT and BREAKFAST A really excellent and varied breakfast with many special options from the chef. We enjoyed the Thai restaurant in the evenings which also offers Swiss fare, and is elegant and intimate. STAFF and HIKING OPTIONS The staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful. We bought 3-day cable car tickets from the Tourism bureau in Engleberg (~Eur70 each) and could traverse quite far on these. There are several manageable and superb hikes. Note there is also a golf course nearby. A tour of the Abbey is a worthwhile option as is a visit to the superb Baroque church with Switzerland's largest organ. TRANSPORT We reached the hotel by taxi from the train station (but the hotel does offer a shuttle service if you call them in advance). The staff gave us lifts to most places for walking and tourism, and the hotel is quickly reached from Engleberg in a 15 minute picturesque walk.

Above and beyond our expectations

Everything, the view, cleanliness, facilities, amenities the swimming pool & sauna and above all the staff Mis Samira and Mr. Samuel can't remember the other names, but All without excption were professional, friendly, super helpful and caring.Also we had free upgrade and late check-out which made our stay more enjoyable and unforgettable. It was the best choice in Englberg. It is highly recommended for cupels.

Exceptional team that went above and beyond to make our stay special

Just absolutely exceptional service from the reception team and Manolito in particular! Made to feel very welcome, despite turning up tired after a long ski tour. Even thought it was the low season, everyone really looked after us. Could not recommend this hotel more highly!

A true gem!

Me and my husband had the loveliest stay. Even though it was a one night stay, it felt like a whole perfect weekend. The staff was exceptional - professional, kind, helpful, funny. They really made us feel as home and as valued guests. The room and view was amazing, spa and saunas just what we needed. Breakfast had a bit of all the main things: some bread, salmon, hams, some fruit, overnight oats, nuts and seeds, plus they made lovely omelett and pancakes. We will be going back.

Shame buses stop so early as we prefer to get around on them (not the hotels fault) but easy to get a taxi, or walk down into town. Hotel also very happy to drop us off in town so not really an issue.

the staff was incredibly nice and helpful, they helped me organize the activities for my day and made reservations to nearby restaurants for me. the view was incredible, from the rooms and the restaurant. the Spa and gym were very well equipped and clean, everything was perfect.

the restaurant closes at 8:30pm but they help you find restaurants nearby and drive you there if you don’t have a car.

If I could add 100 points for the friendliness of the staff, I would.

From the reception, the the cleaning staff to the restaurant staff - they were absolutely fabulous! Although this is not a new hotel, it is solid with beautiful facilities that are well-maintained. The spa-area was quiet with an outside jacuzzi with views of the mountains. We could call the hotel at any time to fetch us from the town center. The restaurant on site offered to make us dinner that were not on the (Thai) menu. I hugged the girl that took us back to the station - that's how nice they are!

this hotel transcends its four star rating !

The location is amazing as it looks over the mountains and the town below which is made even more beautiful by its green nature. The hotel shuttle was a blessing as the more than friendly owner of the hotel and his amazing staff would drop us off and pick us up whenever we called for them as everything is always less than 10 minutes away by car. We have never been to a hotel as clean as this one, I was surprised to find that our room was cleaned 2-3 times a day . The Thai restaurant had excellent quality food and was truly authentic ! The owner and staffs’ friendliness and helpfulness truly made it feel like home and we were sad to leave at the end of our stay.
