Good little hotel with all the basics covered

Good location with lots of food options nearby. Relatively basic hotel, but has everything you need. 20 minutes walk from the central station, which is also easily reached by tram.

I have an online school at night which I am not able to attend/access due to weak/poor WIFI/internet connection. I just have to report to excuse/absent myself. Frustrating it could have been better. (I even went to the Lobby but still I cant get through) - The room assigned to me is parallel to the street so you will hear the tram, bus, cars passing by - note this when booking to this hotel. I requested for change/transfer unfortunately it did not happen. Pillows and Bed are not that comfy- stayed here Monday-Saturday.

The night reception and the breakfast staff are pleasant.

The bed is fit for one and not two people. I could not sleep well. The morning reception staff was aggressive, loud voice and horrible. Saw him scolding his own staff during breakfast. He was loud and intimidating. Spoilt my day.

Good location. Parking was not at the hotel, but was easily accessible and available.

Breakfast was available, but not included. Rather expensive al la carte. No buffet. A few stairs to get to the elevators. Nice hotel, and convenient for business/personal travel. All hotels in Zurich are VERY expensive. This was the best value but still $300/night.

A fine stay, with a worn out bathroom

The staff on arrival was very friendly and willing to help with any questions we had about the hotel, public transit in the city, and what places to visit. The view of our corner room to the city and hills on the background was nice as well. A standing ventilator was present and much appreciated as it got very warm indoors. The parking was very expensive, and limited to 4 cars, but it was conveniently located right outside the front door and once a spot is yours, its yours until you checkout, other cars will be asked to move if no spot is available for you to park. Reading reviews online on the hotel and the hotel staff, I believe we were lucky with our stay as we didn't have any issues, staff was friendly to us and we didn't have any problems, but many people have reported otherwise.

Some hotels are dated, but when properly maintained it's not too bad. The hotel room we stayed in in this hotel was worn. What looked like a not too old room, perhaps 15 years old or so, ended in a bathroom that was in very poor condition, the mirrors were stained with rust so much so that it left severe holes in the mirror. The outside blinds for the windows had also not been dusted off for a while, so while they were outside, they were covered in dust. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel, because it also felt too expensive for what was on offer, with many restaurants and little bakeries nearby it is really awkward to be charging so much for so little.

The property was clean and well located for my purpose. The staff was helpful. There were fresh towels every day and room cleaned. Shop was across the road, restaurants nearby. Tram stop in front of the hotel.

There was no equipment in the room. Way too simple. Not even a glass for water. No kettle, shoehorn, 4 hangers only. They asked for 50CHF per day deposit if something is damaged. In the room with nothing to break 🤷‍♂️.

One of the most worst experiences

In reception there was a Armenian guy..really helpful.

Water clogged basin. Water spilling off during bathing Phone doesn't work. Serbian Reception lady was full of attitude..I was feeling down how she was showing her passive aggressiveness. Booking.com, I will write a review on them how they prescribe the customer the worst hotels.

Cheap but bad (and noisy!)

Overall clean rooms and nice reception staff

- Extremely noisy: walls are so thin you can hear neighbors sneezing. But the worst, is that cleaners start vacuuming and banging around from around 8:00 AM, loudly enough to wake up guests. This is just bad hospitality and shows a huge lack of care for the guest experience, especially in a city with high standards like Zurich. And honestly, it hints that the hotel is trying to rush turnover rather than respecting guests' comfort. - The rooms themselves are tiny, with low ceilings, very claustrophobic and extremely "minimal". It honestly feels more like a prison cell than a hotel room. - There is a persistent bad smell both in the room and in the ensuite bathroom that made the experience even more unpleasant. - What they advertise as double beds are actually 2 single beds placed next to each other, not even fixed or joined by a topper. Pretty uncomfortable. - the 100 CHF security deposit they require (even if you paid the whole stay in advance) is hard to be justified, considering the condition of the rooms and all the above.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel right next to well connected tram stations is hard to beat at this price.

The pillow was square and rather dense. It was too low to use as is, but too tall when folded. Water pressure in the shower was so low it took me twice as long as normal to shower.

Immersive Prison Cell Experience

Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT under any circumstance give your money to this hotel. Someone rightly mentioned that this reminds them of an irish prison cell. While I personally haven’t been to prison, I can now say staying at this hotel is the equiavent of that. You’d be better off staying at home than ending up in a room with a sink, uncomfortable beds, terrible lighting, and utterly unsanitary conditions. Imaging going to the toilet, doing your deed, and then having to touch everything with your dirty hands because the sink is in the bloody room!!!! The pictures advertised are the most misleasing pictures I have ever seen. In fact, we have taken some pictures for proof. Save yourself money and find a different hotel, as Zurich is already a very expensive city. The staff was also not helpful. We were charged a 100 CHF deposit when we already PAID fornour entired stay in advance!!! Apparently, the deposit was taken to insure the room against any damage we would do. Who would damage an already damaged property??

Friendly, comfortable and reasonably-priced accommodation, in a convenient location.

This is the third time we have stayed here, whilst visiting family in Zurich. The location is excellent for transport links. The staff are friendly and helpful (and with good English), and there is always someone on the desk to answer queries. WiFi is free and easy to access. The buffet breakfast is generous and fresh, served in a comfortable dining room/bar with windows on the street. There is a handy supermarket across the road, and many local eateries.

It can be noisy, with trams passing regularly, but this is balanced by convenience of local transport links. It would have been useful to have some printed information in the room about times for checkout, breakfast etc. Our room would have been improved with a full-length mirror, perhaps inside the wardrobe door, and a more comfortable chair.

It’s a budget hotel, good to stay a few nights and not much more. Staff was nice, everything was reasonable clean albeit old fashioned. Basic accommodation ok.

We did not have the breakfast. It was the basic breakfast offerings. The location was a bit from the action but you could walk or take the transit to the main town area. The staff was extremely friendly.

The beds were pretty firm which made them not too comfortable for us.

The room I was placed in was directly across from reception/elevator up the short stairs (which apparently was the hang out spot). It was incredibly loud throughout out the night including “quiet hours”.
