The Placid hotel is a comfortable hotel with a modern high end feel. All of the staff were calm, friendly & helpful. Whatever we asked for, the staff were happy to oblige. Although there were construction works near the hotel you didn’t hear anything. Their sound proofing is great. The streets are clean and safe. The bed is comfy and everything is well positioned. My only personal preference would be that the toilet be in the same space as the shower and sink like a traditional bathroom rather than a separate room. I’d also advise guests that they need to give doors a hard push to lock them and use their keycard to operate the elevator. Modern hotel, only 10 minutes by efficient, modern and clean public transport from the city centre. Lots of good quality restaurants a stones throw away.

For tourists was in a poor location and had very little information for tourists, as to the area, available public transport and time tables, restaurants did not open at weekends. Breakfast was excellent. Good hotel for business individuals operating in the area. Due to flight cancellation arrived on second day of booking to find had to wait to obtain excess to room.. The question is had the room been booked out due to our delay. One wonders.
