Comfy hotel right in the heart of Bern

Complimentary shaving kit and toothbrush and toothpaste, comfy beds excellent location. We didn't have the breakfast but we went out. Staff let us leave our bags there to explore across the bridge.

A delightful, small hotel in middle of Old Town

Excellent location in Old Town down near the river and the bears. Very helpful staff when I required a doctor. Very close to shops and restaurants and adjacent to bus stop.

A very well organised and friendly hotel in the right location.

Almost everything. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the location couldn’t have been better. The room was of a good size and the bathroom was well fitted - except for the small shower screen which leaked water at the base and needs repair. Otherwise, after several disappointing hotels during this trip, it was a welcome change to have so little to moan about!

A peaceful stop over point for me but would be good base for exploring Bern.

Large well equipped room and helpful staff. Also an excellent central location on downtown area altho needed to take taxis to and from station w large case.. Only stayed one night as passing thru Bern on Interrail trip.. enjoyed seeing Albert Einstein's wee apartment from his early days which is close by. Pleasant and helpful mangement

Bern itself seems rather a "chocolate box" town, quaint and historic and lots of tourists around too. Easy to get about and see everything I found altho I was only there briefly.

Beautiful and comfy

Elegant hotel, delightfully charming. Staff was knowledgeable about the city, helpful and friendly. Hotel is perfectly located for walking, tram stop practically right outside the door. Coffee maker in room is always a plus. And a cute elevator is a bonus.

I have no complaints. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Run down, not very clean, no air conditioning, no refrigerator, no ice, no front desk service after 6pm.

Location on the main street was excellent, close to all the points of interest. Front desk staff was very helpful. Room was a good size and as advertised. Having an elevator is always a plus !

It was warm during our trip. We were aware there was no air conditioning but the fan provided did very little to move air and the room was very warm. We left the windows open for air movement and to cool off in the evening but given on the main street, there was a lot of traffic/delivery noise. Definitely not an issue with the windows closed.

Very central location and lovely spacious and clean room. Weather was very hot outside and yet, upon arrival, the room had two fans going in the bedroom which kept it cool. So grateful! We were able to leave our bags there on the day of our departure, which was extremely helpful. The hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful indeed. Much appreciated.

Thoughtful and helpful staff in this well-located hotel in Bern!

The room, beds, and ensuite bath were very clean and comfortable, and the hotel is in a great location with easy access to trams. It has a lift, and we received the thoughtful gifts of fruit and bottled water upon arrival. When I accidentally left something behind that I wanted to get back, a staff member worked with me and mailed it back to me in my country. A value-oriented but excellent hotel with helpful staff!

It wasn't a problem for my stay, but because staff is on duty only until 6 pm, it's best to plan ahead if you need anything or have any questions.

Great place to stay!

Great location, very comfortable, easy to get in and out of! They left a nice note with fruit when we arrived. Very close to EVERYTHING!

We were there when it was very hot, so it was a bit tough to sleep with no AC, and leaving the windows open was loud with street noise. But once you got the room cooled off it was great. They gave us additional fans which really helped!

Perfect location, friendly staff and plenty of amenities.

The staff were very friendly, the room was spotless and very spacious. Excellent location in the old town. The mattresses were very comfortable. Bern was very hot when we visited (31C), the room was very warm, especially as it was the loft suite, however the hotel had provided us with 3 fans, which helped immensely. As we were visiting friends the next day and there was no fridge in the room, the hotel happily allowed us to store a bottle of wine in their fridge overnight.

The pillows were not the best. The two single beds had been pushed up next to each other to make a double, but there was a gap in the middle and because the floor was so clean and polished (which was good obviously), they kept separating.

Great location in Alt Stadt, near bus stop. Friendly staff. Clean room. Large bathroom.

Attention to detail is missing. My hand soap and shower gel containers were empty and never filled. There is no air conditioning, only two fans which did not keep the room cool. The lighting is very poor. I could not open the windows so the room was stuffy. I was on the 5th floor and there were 20 stairs to climb.

It's okay hotel

The hotel has historical look with some more recent upgrades and is well located in the city centre

The beds are uncomfortable and pillows are flat. The light controls are not very efficient. The reception is open only till 6 pm and the bar till 8:30 pm.

Perfect location for exploring historic Bern!

Amazing location in the heart of old town Bern. Received very warm welcome. We arrived before room was ready but were able to leave our bags and explore the city and returned to find they had already taken them to the room for us. Nice welcome note in the room with fresh fruit and bottled water. Hotel has 5 floors. The lift only runs to the 4th floor so if you have an issue with stairs, request a room not on 5th floor. This hotel has everything we needed in the perfect location (right across from bus stop, 10 min bus ride to train station) to explore the old town. Very near the bear park, too. Friendly, welcoming staff. Very happy stay in Bern!

Very good location, we had the back room which made it more quiet, this for me was great. Staff were helpful. Messages through booking were answered quickly and politely. The extras (toiletries, coffee, fruit etc) made it more special. Parking house was not too far away, discounted by the property.

Comfortable stay in a great Old Town Location.

Walking distance or local transport to all the highlights we wanted to see. Free local transport was fabulous. Very easy to navigate. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable. Not large but was fine for our needs.Shower pressure good etc. Didn't use the breakfast or bar service so we can't comment on that. Good to have an elevator. 10 - 15 minute walk to the main transport hub or a bus to get there 50 metres from the hotel

In the heart of Bern

In the heart of old town. Got a free drink upon arrival and personalized card in room which was cozy while bathroom modern and clean. There was coffee and tea and a hot water kettle which was great in my view.

No elevator to my room on top floor with stairs. Would be hard for big luggage. You could not see out window and it would be hot duirng summer. Hotel in older side although well kept. No fridge too.

Hotel Belle Epoque

The hotel is very small, only 17 rooms. Staff were friendly. The decor was interesting and tasteful. Location was near Nydegg bus stop, and short walk to river or train station. The room was bigger than I expected. Coffee machine was great. I would stay there again

Pleasant accomodation for a short weekend trip.

Very central location, the Bear Park and the Rose Garden are in short walking distance, free public transport throughout our stay with the Bern ticket. Very good breakfast with Swiss cheese, sustainable in terms of not wasting food by presenting an overload. Nice decor with nostalgic touches. Staff is very nice, and we liked the personal touches (suitaces were taken up to our room once it became available, handwritten welcome note in the room).

No AC in the room (which is perhaps owed to the historical location and building restrictions, not the hotel itself), and an electric fan was placed in the room.

Gorgeous traditional hotel in the centre of Bern. The room was well laid out with everything thought of. The beds were comfy and the room facilities were great. The hotel is in a perfect location for your trio to Bern!
