Loved the new decoration of the room.

Mattress was too soft, I was afraid to roll out of the bed. There was no minibar and wine downstairs 12 euro per glass. No coffee maker.

Nice hotel let down by poor customer service.

Nice public areas. Good welcome from receptionist.

Difficult to find in the dark. Offhand and indifferent bar and restaurant staff. Egg dish unavailable at dinner although there were plenty of eggs at breakfast. Undercooked scallops. Bland food generally. Pre-frozen bread rolls. Poor sound insulation in room, I was kept awake by someone's TV.

Car park unlit do difficult walking the dog in the evening. Used phone torch but not great. Had to ask for someone to come and serve me a drink at the bar although staff standing around seemingly avoiding me

Welcoming reception, good room, good parking, easy check-in and check-out

Bar staff ignorant. 4 bar staff stood together talking ignoring us - and we were sat at the bar. Heineken and IPA was dreadful - undrinkable. Based on this, we gave the restaurant a miss and ordered a pizza to our room. Hate to think what the food and service would have been like.

Had the potential to be a lot better.

The room was acceptable but a little dated. The foyer, with its open fire arrangement was good. Unfortunately someone decided the area was suitable to position a table football machine, the noise from which disturbed all others in the large open area which include the bar and suitable spaces to read.

A very nice hotel for a relaxing stop over

This was the second time we booked this hotel on our way to France. The location is very handy for a stop over and quiet to get a good night sleep before taking the road. The family room is comfortable and the hotel has great services. The kids played in the kids room and we enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant. We had no time to test the swimming pool unfortunately...

Great family stay at Novotel

I had a great stay at the hotel! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere and the convenient location close to the city and walk trail. The breakfast was a nice bonus—fresh and delicious. Would definitely stay again!

Location was convenient for us & the Tesla chargers.

Poor check-in. Told to wait whilst receptionist checked in a coach load of people. Room had drain smell & a/c was too noisy to use. Breakfast was a big disappointment. Very poor selection for vegans. Cereal was all chocolate sweet stuff. It was all too close together with people squashed in a small Area.

One of several stopovers at this hotel, more attactive now the renovations have finished.

Access to excellent forest walks for the dog, just 1-2 minutes away

Lack of electric points (pathetic for a newly refurbished hotel). Little room for bedside tables, light switch only one side. Renovations clearly done on the cheap, and not designed to last or breathe quality.

A disappointing stay overall, mainly due to the persistent drainage smell in both rooms and subpar cleanliness.

I wouldn’t say the room was dirty, but it definitely wasn’t clean enough. The breakfast was average, but the food-serving area felt very cramped. What left the worst impression, though, was the smell of rotting drainage from the bathroom sink. I stayed in two different rooms during my visit, and both had the same unpleasant smell.

A pleasant hotel in a handy location.

The hotel is going through a refit and looking fairly smart. The pool was unfortunately unavailable as it was too early in the season.

At previous stays the hotels were aimed at families and so the restaurant opened early enough for youngsters to eat. This hotel was more directed at business users or adult clients. 7.30 was just too late for a'2 Yr old.

Good location and free and plentiful parking.

Room decor was very tired and carpets were dirty and stained. The staff only grudgingly opened the pool when asked. The table football was broken. No kids menu.

Promises of a bright future

As you walk in, posters remind you of the metamorphosis this place is about to go through. Next year, it’ll be smarter, more comfortable, with plenty of jazz hands. It’ll shed its corporate reception desk, its exhausted look and feel, the TV that won’t turn on and the old school shower. I hope the forest view we could see from our window will remain. The gate to it suggests meditative walks. But we opted for a nearby restaurant after making the most of the swimming pool.

Perfect for family during travelling on the road, staff was super friendly

We used the hotel for a stop during our drive from Bretagne to home. It was really sufficiënt for that. The pool, table tennis, table football and little playground were perfect for the kids to blow off some steam. The staff was so nice and friendly, it really stood out.

It can use a proper cleaning and some renovation. The shower was outdated with a shower curtain. The toilet was also outdated.

In general the hotel is very tired and needs extensive refurbishment, not all in one go. Main feelings, there is not enough staff to deal with the amount of traffic especially on a weekend when the hotel has coaches arriving for prebooked meals and conferences. Hotel is in a very good location.
