Campanile Petit Couronne

Decent washing facilities, comfortable bed & a red squirrel on the lawn was a bonus.

It's a business area so I'm not surprised that the restaurant is not open Fri to Sun eevenings. Not to worry as Ninkasi is about 200 yards away, possibly with live music.

Cheap motel in pretty and convenient location, but needs some improvements.

helpful staff who quickly moved our room because the first one wasn't suitable . Good location, pretty among the tall trees and near the park. Cheap room, and I like the motel style with door straight to outside, and nice aspect at back with grass and trees.

We were put in a room first that had a connecting door to a noisy couple so we had to move. The restaurant was closed like it was last year so we had to go down the road. The toilet didn't flush properly and the room was tired and in need of renovation, and the rooms smelt of smoke a bit.

The fact I was told when I handed my key card back in the morning, that I needed to pay for my dog, when I had already declared my dog on arrival and paid on arriving in full so we could leave promptly the next morning.

Quiet Campanile, with walks for dogs in green surroundings

This is a standard Campanile and says it has a restaurant, but like many in the chain, upon enquiry they say the restaurant is not open at the weekend. As happened once before, when we asked if the restaurant was open on Saturday evening, the replied that it would be, but not with the usual buffet on offer, but a limited choice of menu. As this had worked well previously, we booked for room with breakfast and dinner. There was a choice with three starters, main courses and desserts on offer.

The breakfast buffet was poor initially, as the tour group had cleared out the cold meats and cheeses and they had not been replenished. When I complained, staff brought these out and put water in the machine so I could boil a couple of eggs. This was all much appreciated Standard Campanile in nice green, quiet area.

Dog friendly overnight stop

Easy to find, dog friendly room, helpful staff

Pity the restaurant is not also dog friendly. Colditz level lighting all around the property all night which on the one hand probably gives a useful level of safety but the room blinds were insufficient to entirely mask the light. Still, comfortable and good value for money and a reasonable overnight stay en route north/south.

Room dated. Lots of late night noise, furniture being moved etc until early hours, not good for having a good sleep.

Exceptional

The receptionist was very pleasant, offering me refreshments after a long drive. The bath with shower was most welcomed. The bed very comfortable. Would stay again. Nice to have a secure car park.
