Spectacularly delicious dinner.
Portion sizes on the dinner menu were hugely variable. Scampi and chips was a full plateful. Fishcake on a bed of shredded mange tout in sauce was a minute portion, so I had to give my wife most of my chips. More information about portion size was necessary!

Food quality and choice was very good as was staff service.
Lighting in bedroom was poor, needed bedside lights.

The hotel has real charm and history. It is centrally located, has an excellent restaurant and a private car park. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Good location near the High Street.
Room was tiny and double bed and shower room v small. Our room overlooked the road - noisy at night. Room was 'hot' because of the weather at the time. Breakfast served in a small room with plenty of people in it. The chairs were cloth covered and dirty. Breakfast itself was unimpressive.
