Top location close to sea between Friedrichstrasse and Strandstrasse - short ways to the action and the beach. Old building from 1960's - not very charming from outside. Monbijou is the whole 2nd floor - well renovated, clean, friendly staff. Very good breakfast. The room rather small. Will come again.

Entrance very confusing as I approached from the beach, (wanted to see the water first) rather than the street. Wandered through various dead-end, empty corridors. Had to exit, walk around to the front, take the elevator to the 2nd floor (which is actually the 4th floor). Note—The building had signs for both Hotel Metropolis (large) and Monbijou (not as large).

This is the perfect place to stay in Westerland.

This hotel is an exceptional find! It is so close to the beach, shopping and restaurants...everything. The single room was just perfect and the cleanliness and decor were terrific. It was definitely exceeded my expectations. The staff were SUPER!

absolutely perfect location - North Sea at arm's length !!! just 4 minutes walk to main street of Westerland ! Room in classic style 100 % clean -very comfy bed - delicious breakfast and last, but not least, very helpful and friendly staff !

Superb

Perfect location!! I've stayed here twice now, and had an awesome stay both times! The staff is friendly, rooms are exquisite (I preferred the sea view room, but the land view one was alright as well) and breakfast had many options. Would gladly be back here again.

I just wish the balcony had a table where I could work. The breakfast can also include more options for vegetarians. Overall I was quite happy with everything.

Sylt in a nutshell

Everything was perfect. A very good choice for getting to know Sylt through Westerland. Is a nice beach hotel. Breakfast is excellent and staff takes care of all the hygiene necessary measures all the time. It is at walking distance from the main street and the central station.

Gutes Hotel, tolles Personal.

Das Zimmer ist sehr gut. Etwas " altbacken " vielleicht. Aber vielleicht macht eben dies die Gemütlichkeit dieses Zimmers aus. Auf jeden Fall war das Zimmer sehr sauber. Toller Zimmerservice. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Mehr aber auch nicht.

Ich hätte gern über Dieses oder Jenes gemeckert. Fotos von Schmutz unter dem Bett, in den Schränken, im Bad gemacht. Ich habe mir wirklich Mühe gegeben! Ich habe aber leider so gar nichts finden können. Und das hat mir so gar nicht gefallen.

Sylt ist immer eine Reise wert

Die Lage ist einmalig, Blick aufs Meer. Endlich ungestört frühstücken ohne Hundegebell, da im Frühstücksraum Hunde nicht gestattet sind. Das Zimmer sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Extra Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher ist ein großes Plus.

Erholsames Wochenende in einem bezaubernden Hotel

Für uns die perfekte Lage, mittendrin…. Blick auf die Nordsee, Blick auf die Promenade in Höhe der Muschel vonWesterland und trotzdem ruhig. Das Lauteste waren die Möwen und das Meer, aber das wollen wir auch genau so. Die Menschen, die dort arbeiten sind sehr freundlich, das Hotel sehr sehr sauber und das Frühstück ließ für uns keine Wünsche offen.

Das Haus, in welchem das Hotel sich befindet, ist kein wirklich schöner Bau. Das Äußere wird dem Inneren nicht gerecht. Denn von innen ist es sehr liebevoll und bezaubernd eingerichtet, ein kleines Juwel.

Toller Aufenthalt auf einer Insel mit vielen Möglichkeiten. Ideal zum Entspannen!

Das Frühstück war sehr gut und umfangreich. Fehlende Dinge am Buffet oder auch der Kaffee wurden vom immer freundlichen Personal sofort gebracht. Die Zimmer waren sauber und für unsere Zwecke ausreichend. Das Badezimmer mit dem WC war behindertengerecht ausgeführt, somit mit ziemlich vielen Haltbeügeln und einer Sitzfläche in der Dusche ausgestattet. Das braucht nicht jeder... Die Lage war zentral in der Stadt direkt "am Geschehen". Das gesamte Hotelpersonal war immer freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Die Aussicht "stadtseitig", man blickt nur auf Betonburgen. Der Preis von knapp € 150,- je Person und Nacht für Übernachtung und Frühstück ist schon sehr hoch. Aber da kommt wohl auch der "Sylt-Bonus" dazu.

Sauber, aber teilweise sehr unfreundliches Personal.

Es war stets sauber und bei einem schwerwiegendem Problem wurde geholfen.

Die Behandlung von zwei Mitarbeiterinnen die ich stets getroffen habe war absolut nicht zufriedenstellend. Eine, arbeitet wohl stets in der Küche, zumindest habe ich sie nur dort angetroffen, war am ersten Tag super freundlich. Die nächsten Tage, bis zu meiner Abreise drei Tage später, leider extremst unfreundlich. Sie hat mich ignoriert wo es ging. Kein freundlicher Blick, kein Hallo, kein " alles in Ordnung?/benötigen Sie noch etwas?" .... nichts. Nur patzige, genervte, kurze Antworten, null Blickkontackt. Die zweite war zuerst in der Küche, danach habe ich sie lediglich als Reinigungskraft gesehen. Immer wenn sich unsere Blicke trafen sagte ich freundlich hallo oder guten morgen... sie sah mich an als würde hinter mir ein Dämon lauern und sie verschlingen wollen... Entschuldigung, aber ich kann den Gesichtsausdruck nicht anders beschreiben. Alles in allem empfehle ich dieses Hotel definitiv nicht weiter und werde auch kein zweites Mal dort einchecken. Der Fahrradkeller ist ebenfalls nicht geeignet. Zum einen sind es drei schwere Türen, welche zudem nicht mal einen Stopper hatten. Es stank und sonderlich viel Platz war ebenfalls nicht. Die Gänge sind sehr schmal und es tropft Wasser von der Decke. Für EBikes ungeeignet, keine Steckdose vorhanden. Habe 736€ für vier Nächte bezahlt, für den Preis solche Mitarbeiter... puh... nein, nicht noch einmal...
