Food not great, checking out was a bit of a challenge. Good location, mostly friendly staff.

Staff were mostly nice. Location is very central for Auckland which is helpful. Although the hotel does not have a pool it had a gym which was a decent size.

The rooms were tired and where I was located was quite dark. The food from food service was of a low standard and priced reasonably high. Upon checking out I was told I had breakfast there one morning, I certainly did not and I assured the staff member this. They stated the could 'look into it for me' and appeared to not believe me. When I said again that I didn't have breakfast there they again asked if I had it on that specific date I was being charged for. This person did not appear to believe me and did not assure me that I would not be charged for someone else having breakfast and charging it to my room.

Disappointing.

Mattress was comfortable.

TV volume was set so low we couldn't hear it, very upset about that. No shampoo in shower, the shampoo was by the basin, WHY would anyone need shampoo by the sink ???? Only 2 tea bags, very poor only allowing 2 cups of tea for booking in at 3pm for a overnight stay. We booked out very early, so disappointed with our stay decided not to bother having breakfast. We will not advise anyone to stay at sky and we will be back.

Sky high

Very buzzy and lively. Comfortable bed and clean room. All the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Centrally located and everything is to hand. Andy's burger bar was fun with its waitering robots! Easy access to the Sky Tower restaurants and bars.

Surprisingly there's a lack of breakfast offerings. There is a large number of sushi and Chinese restaurants that tend to open later in the day. Tony's restaurant just over the way is well worth a visit for an evening meal. The sky city hotel does have a variety of restaurants but breakfast finishes at 10am. We found it difficult to get a brunch lunch locally.

Nice but could be better

Spacious room (Premium King) with extra large bed, and next to casino so we were able to get a meal after 9pm after a long travel day. Highly recommend Food Republic

Hard to book without signing in (no guest login) and I couldn't seem to reactivate my account so ended uo booking via booking.com for a few dollars more but no hassle. Tried booking over the phone but would have had to pay over the phone (much higher) rates. We considered room service but $39 for some club sandwiches was too expensive plus wait time, and not much else on the menu). Aircon didn't work that well. There was a stain on the couch from previous occupants which I let the hotel know about on checkout. No hot chocolate in the room, only tea and coffee.

Excellent✨️

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city. The rooms feature a huge, comfortable bed and are kept very clean. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and if you get a casino card, you'll enjoy discounts at all SkyCity restaurants and bars. The customer service and staff are truly excellent and make your stay even more enjoyable.

Never 3 cups or glasses in the room. Mentioned this at check in; the gentleman I saw did what he said, phoned me once in the room to enquire, he said he’d get more sent, then never arrived, like previous stays.

Unhappy experience

Location is great

Room wasn't suitable had to ask to be changed. Staff weren't impressed New room allocated wasn't set up ready. No tea, coffee or sugar had to call reception and ask for them to be brought up. Upon returning ing to room items requested where thrown on bench not placed in holder which was polite to do. Hotel is very worn, laundry trolleys in hallways when not in use. Smoking area only open till 6pm so of you want a smoke after that you need to go down to the street which at times is very unsafe. All In all won't be staying again.

Self check in. We asked over 2 weeks ago for a room with a bath. Got an automated answer but never never got a room with a bath. No one to ask either. Room service is always late. After 4pm. Before they made up our room. Frustrating.

They don't have water in your room you have to go down to the service desk everyday to get it and its only limit one per person a day! So stupid. But they don't tell you that at check in

Overall stay was awesome!

Price was reasonable Location was great All the Sky TV options Lots of food choices close by My children made a mess in the room and I asked for a vacuum to clean it. Staff member came up and vacuumed how whole room (ADHD wasn’t going to let it slide)
