Still reliable

I have stayed here before and it's not most recent Quest in Auckland but it is well maintained, and the team seems to care about guests comfort a great deal also was a good size room for the price, great for a solo traveller. My washing machine has a fault but after I signaled this to the front desk, someone came to the room to check on it within the day. Since it could not be fixed right away, my clothes were washed for me.

Occasionally a bit of loitering down the building, which has a convenience store at the corner - nothing too bad : no one showed any aggression or tried to follow me in etc. - just general rowdiness which I am always on guard for as solo traveler.

You get what you pay for

Front of house staff were very friendly. The bed was very comfortable. Easy check in process

No double glazing on windows so being on a main road, the room was very noisy all night. You definitely need earplugs. The carpets need a really good clean. I didn't want to take my shoes off. The whole room needs a good deep clean, including around the stove top, microwave, loads of scuff marks on the walls, sticky TV remote.

Overall experience was great, good location. Very close to restaurants and mini marts. Comfy, clean apartments. Loved having the washing machine and dryer available after travelling long distance.

I booked an apartment without a balcony. Air conditioning could do with an upgrade, I had the dryer on which made the apartment very hot and the air con wasn't producing enough cold air flow.

Convenient place to stay for a city visit.

Close to the centre of town and amenities. Had all we needed in the apartment.

View was of a wall and windows so felt a bit dark. They were tight about late check out on marathon weekend. No way to get back in time without paying.

Soap canister in bathroom taped up with masking tape. Internet wifi wouldn’t load. Tried for an hour, eventually hooked up, but so slow, I just used my phone. Quest should be better. They are a good brand. Don’t loose it. A lot of rough sleepers on street outside and abusing us as we entered.

It was a great and relaxing stay, satisfied with the service and the place couldn’t as for more.

It was in the great spot hotel close to shops. It was worth the penny for the stay it has everything appliances and you have your own bedroom and great view.

The car park is way too small, I can see it getting hectic down there if the hotel is full. Hit and runs waiting to happen. Probably park across the road next time for cheaper.

Awesome value.

Great location. Aprox 15 min walk to viaduct. Maybe 5 minutes to casino. Subway and 2 dairies/mini supermarket next door. Other food places very close. Easy off and on motorway. Carpark across road or 1 min walk up road. The room had a great view of sky tower. Looked lovely at night. Everything you need in room. Full kitchen. Laundry. Lounge and bedroom. Shower was great. Bed very comfy and pillows were great too.

Only slight negative thing was a rip in our top sheet.

Was ok.

The room was perfect for us. We had an executive suite & fit a family of 4 perfectly. 2 adults a 15yr old and a 9yr old. Was a huge space and there were nearly top to bottom windows facing the street and it was nice to look out and watch the night life. The kitchen was big but we didn’t use anything in the kitchen but the fridge. The beds were comfy and the apartment was quite clean. The balcony was HUGE and such a nice touch, also was really good being able to go outside and listen to the bustle of the city.

Some of the cupboards in the kitchen were hanging on by threads. The apartment phone wasnt working at all. The outdoor furniture on the balcony was very flimsy and we were scared to sit on it incase it broke. The tv was quite old and we couldnt connect our phone to it which was a downer as other hotels we’ve stayed at in the city you can. Also the car park is tiny!!! If its full theres no way you’d be able to park your car and then also get out of it and it also smells like sewage down there, we ended up using the wilson carpark across the street but was scared our car would get stolen.

The view was amazing . Room felt homely . Location is great 5min walk from alot places .

We arrived within checking in hours but had to call to be let in as know one was at reception so we had a little wait for someone to come down and check us in. Sliding door in our lounge handle was broken. So we couldn't use that door to open it had to use the bedroom sliding door to go outside on the balcony. Tvs are very outdated no Netflix or anything so had to watch normal TV wasn't a vibe . We ended up just watching a movie on our phones Bed felt outdated aswell it was a great size but could tell they have some age to them as we could feel the springs in the bed . A matress topper would be good . We noticed alot homeless across the road from the hotel so that was very off putting as we had to park across the from from hotel as our truck was to big for on-site parking at hotel.

Beautiful rooms and great spot in lovely Greytown.

We were lucky enough to stay here during the Greytown Mid Winter Festival. It was a wonderful spot to watch all the festivities below from our balcony. Beautiful cosy room too!

Just need a fan in the bathroom, otherwise everything was perfect!
