Close to downtown.
The property is quite dated and the rooms weren’t serviced till after three.

I love the beds here - they are very comfy and the size of the rooms is great. Love the high ceilings.
The restaurant has just been taken over by new management and wasnt open until 10am so breakfast was off the table (so to speak)

Good value for mid city accommodation.
Nothing to add

Bedroom with great view of city skyline in 5th floor.
Don’t like our first room as too dark and looked into interior courtyard with construction work.

Pool was amazing rooms were great and cleaned really well.
No one monitors the pool area and although it said no glasses around the pool there were. Also people bombing.
The main disappointment was no bar open although facilities are there. I find it strange that what would be a little hold mine was v CV loses. As was the restaurant . Was due to open when we left, but again a lovely.bar area in reception, under utilised.
Hard to find your way round the hotel. There are so many entrances.
No bar facilities , no where to get a drink after a long journey.
I had emailed to say it was an anniversary holiday for us and if there were any upgrades I would really appreciate it.
No upgrade but we do I’d get a bar of chocolate left in our room, which was very nice thought.

Massive room, great rooftop pool and comfy bed. We were blown away and tried to cancel our other hotel to stay here again.
We were told 24/7 reception but when we arrived, we were knocking on the door and no once could hear or see us. A random lady walking past happened to have a key and let us in, otherwise I don’t know how long we would have been out there.
The receptionist also told us the wrong location we walked all over the building before finding another staff member who helped us. Not a huge deal but being 2am, it was quite scary walking around outside in the dark when our lift was right next to reception.
All other staff were awesome!

We really loved our time at the Heritage. We are a family of elderly mother, two adults and one child. The family room was spacious, clean and well equipped with kitchenette, perfect for making our breakfast and rustling up snacks. The dividing door in the room was great for privacy. We really liked the decor which is Art Deco and offers character and history. Lovely public areas with large corridors and landing floors. My mum remembered shopping in this building when it was Farmers, so that was lovely to hear her old stories. Such a unique hotel with character and a hundred year history, not a mundane cookie cutter place. My niece loves the pools and spent lots of time in both (outdoor and indoor). My brother loved the gym and I loved sitting at the outdoor pool area with a glass of wine overlooking the city lights. The staff are amazing! Nothing was too much trouble. I asked for extra chairs, bathrobes and more coffee and they brought them to the room and always asked if we needed anything else. There’s no on-site bar or restaurant at this time, but the attached Muddy Farmer pub downstairs was nice and convenient for drinks, food and entertainment. And there’s so many great food and bar places within minutes walk lots of variety, anything you could want. Highly recommend this hotel and we look forward to coming back! We absolutely loved it, thank you!
Nothing, all great

- Cleanliness was OK
- We stay here to be able to use the rooftop pool
It has been disappointing as I've stayed here a few times over 4 years and it has declined massively. I booked it thinking we would have the same experience as every other time I've stayed here. Me and my family stayed here for 3 nights and the service we experienced on checking in on Friday was really disappointing. We almost feel like we were irritating the staff because there was so many things going wrong.
- No bathrobes in our rooms, we had to wait hours to receive them
- No soap or body wash (Room 546)
- Only once our room was serviced (we had the same towels for 3 days and no extra towels for the pool, we even asked housekeeping for just 1 more extra towel on Day 3 and they said "we literally don't have anymore"
- We paid $45 per day for valet parking and they insisted on them parking the car and not us. We have had a bad experience with hotels driving around in our car without us knowing so we wanted to park our own car and keep our keys. We compromised and let the hotel keep our car keys, to our surprise we went back down an hour later and our keys were still on the side of the reception desk, (unmanned by the way) so anyone could have reached over and grabbed them.
- Tv remote wasn't working so my partner politely just asked if we could get a new remote, one of the staff came up to our room to fix it after 2 hours of waiting. We gave the benefit of the doubt incase they were short staffed as we had so many other problems checking in on Friday. She saw the back of it for the batteries, the case holding them in had been screwed shut. My partner asked if the hotel had a screw driver, she said "No, the only thing you've screwed up is by coming to this hotel". She didn't realise that myself, and my parents were sat around the corner from the door and heard that comment.
For the price we paid and besides the fact you have access to a pool, I truly don't think it is worth it at all. We paid for deluxe rooms too.

We had a twin room that had wonderful views of the Harbour. The room was very spacious with a small kitchen area and large spacious bathroom
Our only gripe was how soft the beds were. Probably okay for children but we found it hard to get on and off the, I am in my early sixties and my friend mid seventies.

This is the best hotel for a family, great family room with kitchenette, clean, comfy beds, a fabulous rooftop pool, spa and gym, very friendly staff, love coming back to this hotel!
Kitchen in unit was a bit understocked, no dishcloth/brush and set up for 2 not the family of four that booked it. But nothing we couldn't handle.
8.0 / 10.0
The room was large and the rooftop pool was brilliant; we weren't expecting to find something like this in central Auckland.
The room was a bit tired; the interconnecting door didn't slide on its rail property and the bath had some damage to the enamel. It's not a luxury experience once you're inside your room, but it's spacious enough.

I love this place and always stay here when I’m in Auckland - so convenient to the Viaduct, Ponsonby and CBD; great pool and gyms, amazing staff!
The restaurant here is closed down which is a shame and there’s no great bars close by but we usually just order Uber Eats if we don’t want to go out now

Perfect location, excellent, helpful & friendly with comfortable facilities.
Looks a bit dated with refurb required - most notably the internal atrium area where presumably a restaurant will be (looks like it will be excellent once finished).

Outdoor of family apartment was untidy but that’s fine.

Location was perfect for our evening in the city, walking around the harbor front. The hotel was easily accessed with a good loading area on the street, nearby parking and an easy check in process. Loved seeing the beautiful old hardwood floors and beams of the renovated building! The restaurants and activity of the harbor area were an easy 5 minute walk from the hotel. The room was exceptionally quiet - it seemed like we had the floor to ourselves.
It’s unfortunate that the restaurant was closed so there’s no in-house food or drinks available. While several shops are only a block or so away, the street front on either side is pretty quiet but feels safe. The only parking available was valet so I opted for a less expensive public lot one block away.

The location is very convenient to the city, we experienced the Auckland City Art Gallery, Albert Park, before a swim in the lovely rooftop pool, then off to a concert at Spark Arena. Gorgeous big room with high ceilings and beautiful wooden doors.

I didn’t like the initial room I booked it had an internal door that wasn’t mentioned but they relocated me quickly.

Excellent apartment with plenty of space and good beds.
The pool and surrounding area is and excellent facility
TV was poor. Designed to use your device to stream but it was clunky to try and connect devices.
The worst part of the hotel is actually check in and check out. They do not staff this side of the hotel anymore so you have to wait for them to come over from the ither side. Check out took 30 minutes by the time they came over and got cars back from Valet.
One lift in still in maintenance so wuite slow just using two.

A nice roomy apartment and having the washer/dryer in the room was a bonus
Hardly ever anyone in reception, had to ring through before someone came

location was perfect, walking distance to everywhere food etc
8.0 / 10.0
The rooms are a good size and the bed was very comfortable. Having a kitchen in our room was a huge bonus as we celebrated a birthday with family so was good to be able to serve cake etc.
There is no longer a restaurant of any type at this hotel which is hugely inconvenient. There is not even a coffee kiosk. I also wasn't thrilled that I booked two rooms and one was in the hotel and the other in the tower. The tower room was great but it was an awful long way from the rest of our family. The Heritage is good but really needs a makeover as the rooms and whole place are becoming rather dated. It is certainly not the hotel I have stayed in a few years ago

The location is perfect. It's only a block from the SkyCity building that the SkyDrive Airport Express Bus, the InterCity buses and the Hobbiton tour buses all use for a pickup point and it's also where the Weta Workshop Unleashed is. It's only a 10 minute walk to the harbor and Queen Street. There's a ton of good restaurants around there too. The bed was comfy. The room isn't huge but the bathroom was surprisingly spacious. The receptionist can hold luggage and there's also a bathroom on the ground floor they can give you a key to if you can't check into your room yet. The gym is clean and has a couple machines and the pool on the roof is nice.
The WiFi might as well have not been there. I could log in through the landing page but it just dropped me after stalling out for a minute every time I tried to use it for anything. I wound up using the WiFi at a nearby coffee shop instead.
The entry part of the room was a little tilted, which was odd, but the part where the bed was and the bathroom were flat.

This hotel is very close to sky city- where the airport bus drops you off! Recommend taking the bus if you arrive during rush hour, and the bus lanes make it faster and a lot cheaper than a taxi.
We had a suite. The kitchen was well appointed though we did not have any glasses.
Bedroom comfortable and very quiet.
There is a rooftop pool (popular with families) and also a gym/ one lane indoor pool - which was great.
In easy walking distance of the main shopping areas and shore.
The hotel is in two parts connected by a walkway. It can be quite a walk from reception to your room (10 mins?).

The roof top pool and gym were nice and the sauna
Do not let them put you in the tower! We have stayed at this place twice, the first time it was great we had an awesome view of the Harbour and a great room. So we chose to stay again for a relaxing city break. This time they said they had "upgraded" us to a suite in the tower (with a kitchen and dryer that we didnt need). Should have said no straight away. Firstly the noise through the door was crazy, sounded like people walking past were in the room with us. This combined with the 100yr old fridge making this terrible screaming noise when it was trying to cool down meant we got zero sleep. And to top it off someone was smoking a lot of weed and it was coming through our vent in the room, when we told staff about it they said there was nothing they could do because some of the rooms are privately owned. All and all the worst stay in a hotel I have ever had - old unclean room with no sleep, what a relaxing weekend 😑

Love the location and facilities. The rooftop pool and spa are excellent
A coffee bar will be great however there are loads of coffee places nearby
8.0 / 10.0
Loved the central location, the room was a great size for 3 adults and the beds were super comfy.
On arrival there were only 2 x wine glasses & cups in our room even though we had booked for 3 adults. It was a Friday night and they were short staffed so we waited over 2.5 hours for more cups and glasses even after ringing 3 times.
