Ramada Suites By Wyndham Victoria Street West

Overall it was a good stay. We arrived around 1pm and was told to come back at 2pm which was as expected. We could store our luggages so we could walk around and have lunch. The suite was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped with cooker, microwave and kettle. No seasoning provided. Complimentary dish detergent is provided but only 1 pack a day. Similar to laundry detergent. Washing machine and dryer worked well. Only comment would be to have more place to store our clothes. There was hardly any hooks or clothes hanger. There's no bedroom slippers so bring your own if you need them. Also to note housekeeping is only for every 3 days. Location is convenient to shop, eat and coffee. Reception closes at 8pm so you'll have to make early arrangements for late arrival. You'll need your access card to open the main lobby door after 8pm.

Quiet, clean, warm, comfortable room. Staff are friendly and professional and the Dulux King Single room has a well stocked kitchen, good sized bathroom with washer and dryer. I stay here every week for work and find it to be a haven after a long day in the office

I added a 2nd night on the day I arrived which was no problem except there was no housekeeping the 2nd day to replenish coffee, milk, towels etc. Staff at reception apologised and helped sort out.

Appearance of room is good online but once there we realized this was a very basic and no frill hotel. So cheap with items provided in room. Was told they do not provide any tissues. Washroom has no shelf or counter space to place any personal items, one ply toilet paper, no hand towel to dry hands. Shower is extremely slippery as the floor is the same shiny material as the wall. If someone runs the tap in the kitchen area then the shower water turns cold. Laundry machine was leaking water on the floor and we hadn’t even used it. Kitchen pans are non-stick but scratched. No dishcloth to wash dishes or wipe down counter. Since service to the room is not provided daily we needed more detergent as they are small pouches, were told we could get just one pack each of detergents, “not allowed to give more”. I had requested more toilet paper from the front desk and was told he would bring it up…he didn’t. Tv would turn on by itself in the middle of the night, we got to the point we had to turn off the power switch on the wall. The bed…poorest quality ever. When you sit down on it , the wire border would dig into the legs. The bed dipped so much I felt like I was stuck in one place, if I tried to move more into the centre then I would roll back. We set the room to 19 degrees, still it was so hot that could sleep only with a sheet, never seemed to cool off enough. Then there was a large section of very visual dust on the wall probably from the vent in the ceiling. This is very noticeable which the cleaning staff should have noticed.
