Depressingly bland and just about average.

Near a tram station making travel to the centre easy

Corporate bland commercial fittings and decor. Terrible toilet paper the weakest I can remember. Rugby silhouettes in the bedroom looked like the silhouettes made to commemorate the soldiers that died in the last war. One bath towel left and one paper cup for 2. Extra supplied supplied on request, but shouldn't have to ask. Adequate breakfast.

Location was difficult to access and getting on and off the motorway wasn’t easy with a sat nav. Areas are gridlocked at peak times.

Pleasantly surprised and Comfortable.

We stayed here as night stopover. Very pleasant stay. Good buffet breakfast included. We enjoyed a comfortable stay.

If I was to make a negative, it would be that the property was small - Reception, bar in one. The room was also small - not much room after the double bed! But the bed was comfortable. It seems that the accommodation is second to the restaurant , which is bigger than reception- bar.

The Hotel was in a convenient location, clean and the staff were friendly

THE BREAKFAST, it was quite frankly the worst paid breakfast I’ve ever had in my life. We arrived at around 09:20 and there was simply nothing there. I had a black coffee as there was no milk and what was left of the muesli (in the smallest bowl ever) Luckily a McDonald’s was 50m away so we ate there. We didn’t mention this at the time as the staff were polite but an undercurrent of some kind of communication breakdown Hope this helps to fix the issue.

Excellent for an overnight stay

A very good location with plenty of parking. Easy check in. The room was clean , airy and comfortable. The meal in the restaurant was very good. Breakfast was very good with a good selection of fresh food. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and very professional. I would certainly stay here again

The location was great 100 metres from tram stop into the city and a nice easy stroll in the city

We stayed over a weekend and the reason we picked this hotel is because it had a restaurant, so we arrive and check in and said to the receptionist we would like to make a booking in the restaurant for tonight being sagturday and the receptionist said sorry restaurant is closed as she was laughing and Isaid that is the reason why we chose this hotel, sorry it is closed on weekends, we'll I think it would be nice for the company to put that on there Web site. The receptionist was very rude I just don't think she liked the English the problem was we were not English. Thought I would go to the bar and have a scotch on the rocks I get my scotch but no ice I asked the receptionist/bartender for ice, sorry we don't have any ice, what sort of bar does not have ice, l will stop now, just pretty poor really, I must admit the other staff at the hotel were grea. I just think it is really poor for a major hotel chain.

Odd check-in process, but otherwise pleasant stay

Location was handy to drive to and provided guests with complimentary gated carpark which was our main requirement. So that we could rest up and continue our onward journey across the country the next day.

Wasn't sure if it was a genuine passion to want to teach us the French language in a welcoming way or not, but check-in counter staff insistence on making us try to speak and listen in French for our check in process was a little awkward if I'm honest. Especially when it was made clear and obvious to anyone that besides basic greetings and thank you, that was the extent of our French. In the end, it was 'agreed' that she spoke French while we responded in English. And somehow we managed to check-in. I suppose if we weren't already tired from a 7 hour drive, I may have enjoyed our exchange to learn a little more of the language, but was it was evening already and thinking back, it felt more unwelcoming than welcoming in retrospect, irrespective of the intent.

We booked and paid for the hotel „Republique“, only at 18:40 after the cancellation period had passed we were informed by phone that that hotel is in fact closed. We had to stay at the inferior one at the airport for the same price, very disappointing.

The rooms were very comfortable.

The hotel did not open the bar or restaurant and being Sunday meant it was hard to eat. The over zealous health practices ensured a sombre vibe compared to other hotels of the same brand. Unlike other hotels who serve breakfast to avoid mingling this one had a partial self service which meant donning a mask for the three steps and back. I fell foul of this ridiculous practice. All this combined ensured an unpleasant stay, at which is a well appointed and comfortable hotel. You could blame the current situation or the staff? Perhaps they should not have reopened until they feel more comfortable to do so.
