About this apartment rental
The Old Post office is in the quiet village of Bernisdale about 5 miles out of Portree. A rural location ideal for peace and tranquility.
It has been lovingly converted and restored by it's owner to become a delightful cosy holiday cottage.
1 double, and a shower room.
A lovely wood burning stove in the main living area brings warmth to the whole house and is wonderful to put on after a days hiking or sightseeing.
In a quiet and delightful location with views to the Cullin and across Loch Snizort.
There is garden to the front and rear.

Lovely place to stay to explore Skye. Great central location. The little fireplace is a very special cozy element to the experience of staying here. Absolutely loved our time here at the the old post office. Highly recommend!

This place was everything that engulfs Scotland. The layout was perfect for us, as 2 couples. It’s was so comfortable, the little stove was so cute and cozy. The drying rack was just awesome as well. Perfectly located for our travels around Skye. Instructions were well received once we got into the house…
The only hiccup we had was lack of communication for the arrival. We had to wait and make a few phone calls from other sites to get a hold of the management team. But once I got someone, they were so helpful and informative and explained what happened. Our stay was amazing! Thank you

First , the positives. The location is great in the middle of the island, not far from most of the places you’d want to visit. The management company was also helpful and communicative before our stay.
The house itself is OK, if a little small and basic in some areas. It was clean and reasonably well equipped, and with quick WiFi. But to be honest it is pretty cramped for four adults - might be better for a couple and two kids. The mattresses could also do with an upgrade at this price level.
Also, and I know there’s not much the owners can do about this, but we were woken up every morning by the neighbour’s dog barking at 6/6.30, which was a little irritating on holiday.
