The best place we stayed at so far in Scotland!

Everything- I can’t imagine what they could have done to improve it. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The unit was spacious, very comfortable, and immaculate. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure and plenty very hot water.

Top notch lodging on the Isle of Skye

We traveled for 17 days around Scotland and this was by far the best place we stayed. It was truly a luxury accommodation and Peter and Marina were fantastic hosts. We were amazed at the high degree of quality in all of the provisions provided in the apartment, especially the kitchen were we prepared two breakfast meals and a dinner. The peaceful location also has a beautiful view of the loch and is an ideal launching spot to travel around the Trotternish Peninsula.

Luxurious piece of heaven on Skye

Beautiful and peaceful location, surrounded by nature and the view to the lake. The apartment was delightful, beautifully designed and furnished with high quality furniture and equipment. It felt luxurious and cosy at the same time. We especially loved the big comfortable bed, with nice selection of pillows, walk-in closet and the sitting room with big windows overlooking the lake. The owners are lovely people and we could feel how much they care for the comfort of their guests.

The accommodation is perfectly located a short drive from Portree, has beautiful views and all the necessary touches that certainly make it feel like a luxury stay.

Brilliant location, great views and extremely comfortable

Brilliant location, great views and extremely comfortable. The space was perfect for two, you had everything required in the kitchen to make a meal. There were a few welcome snacks and milk which was a nice touch. Hosts were available if needed but gave you privacy to make the most of the apartment.

There was only one minor complaint and that was the sound from the apartment above. You could clearly hear when someone was walking around, opening drawers and using the bathroom. Not a major issue but not ideal.

Spotless, luxurious and well appointed and close to town with a gorgeous view.

Clean, modern, well lit and well appointed. Close to town but removed enough to be quiet and peaceful. HUGE closet with room enough for even heavily laden travelers. Gorgeous view (absolutely stunning) and our hosts were very accommodating with our late arrival and early morning departure. Plenty of room and extremely comfortable. Parking was easy.and easily accessible, and right by the front door, so getting excessive baggage in was relatively easy. Meeting the horses across the way was a special treat too!

The kitchen was modern and fully functional but extremely difficult to understand. There seem.to be standards here that we simply do not have in some other countries. A thorough and simple explanation of the meanings of symbols on, and the use of, the stove and oven would be extremely helpful. No bother to most Europeans, I suspect, but I watched videos and looked up model numbers and brands for far too long in order to safely and confidently use the oven and stove. It all worked out in the end, but a page in your welcome book for each of the slightly more complicated devices would be very helpful to those who have never seen these types of controls before. Getting our bags up and down the steps was a little bit of a bother, but not so much so that it in any way spoiled our stay. Due to unpredictability of weather we had a range of clothing from dressy to very warm and water proof, resulting in a variety of heavy baggage. For older or less agile guests, an offer of help getting in and out might not be unwelcome. We did manage, but I was concerned with waking people as we arrived and then departed both in the wee hours as the entry way and way up were a bit echoey. Hard not to be noisy, but we did our best. Overall, a very pleasant stay with just a few minor hitches, and those were things that probably wouldn't be an issue to many. Especially recognizing that this is a self catering.cottage, though a fore-warning of the stairways (short and pleasantly wide, but still a minor impediment to some) might not be unwarranted.

Excellent property - perfect to have a quiet place to relax and all the comforts of home.

Absolutely lovely stay. The property was beautifully decorated, very well equipped with quality furniture, crockery, utensils and linen. We were nicely surprised to have some breakfast food and snacks for us too. The location was perfect - a short drive from Portree, and central on Skye, very quiet and with a stunning view of Loch Snitzort. We especially loved the cooking facilities with a microwave, oven and stove top to eat in after a day exploring the Isle. Highly recommend staying here.

We did find the bedroom was quite light at night until the sun went down as the windows and shades in the living area when closed, still let a lot of light through to the bedroom. Having a door or a blockout curtain available to close off the bedroom from the lower level living area might solve this. We did get used to it and I used a sleep mask until the sun went down and when it came up at 4:00am.

This property is simply OUTSTANDING. 15 min drive from Portree. Quiet, beautiful surrounds and one of the nicest apartments you will stay in. Spotless, warm room, friendly owners. Will return if I visit Skye again

Absolutely wonderful place

The Apartment was perfect. Peter and Marina took care of every little detail. It was luxuriously comfortable, spotless, wonderful location just outside the chaos of Portree, equipped with everything you need including robes, and they even had a little starter kit of milk, butter, coffee, sugar, etc. I spent three perfect days there.

Sadly we couldn’t use the oven as the element had blown ( which we discovered when trying to cook) Marina kindly took our dinner and cooked it for us but it meant we had to go out to eat for the rest of our stay and this is a 10 min drive in to Portree and carpark fees etc with limited options - booking restaurants is essential! No spontaneity. Tv - not all channels accessible- instructions in the welcome pack for electrical items would have been useful.

Wonderful apartment, location and hosts!

A beautiful, clean apartment in a fantastic location, central to Portree and Uig. We had everything we needed for a wonderful 4 night stay! The bedroom walk-in closet was a great surprise. It was so nice to have a place to put away our luggage etc! The kitchen was stocked with what we needed for the very minimal cooking we did. Great views from the upper floor windows! Thank you, Peter and Marina, for being such gracious hosts. We had a great stay!

Absolutely fabulous stay on Skye

Really great location, easy to pick up the main road and drive wherever you need to go. Room was very clean, comfortable and great amenities - kitchen in the room was a great help to make an easy dinner when you’re tired in the evening after a busy day out. Hosts are wonderful, very friendly and welcoming and really went above and beyond during our stay. Would definitely stay again when we are back on Skye.

Property smelt fresh and clean. Extremely well stocked for a self catered apartment. Beautiful water and mountain views Bed was comfortable and warm. Owner made sure we were comfortable and happy. 10 min to potter and same to Uig Isle of Skye. Uig Ferry takes you to Isle Harris Lewis from there. Close to Kilt rock and the most beautiful scenery.

Cruinn Bhein was one of the best places we stayed at during our three week trip to Europe (Paris, Normandy, London and Scotland). The apartment was immacualtey clean, the amenties were perfect, the hosts were accommodating and friendly and the location was perfect for our visit to Skye. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit.
