Its location, but primarily the innkeeper. Everything about this place was charming. He greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm, taking deliberate time to explain the area and its attractions. The room was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately, we didn’t have an opportunity to use the onsen.
I loved everything. No notes.

We had an amazing host in Mr Sun, who greeted us and showed us things to do. This is a ryokan with separate mens and womens onsens which are used one person at a time. Facilities were beautifully clean, and our room was traditionally styled and futons were wonderfully comfortable. Certainly worth a second stay

I booked here because of the reviews I had read and all of them were accurate. The owner is so sweet and knowledgable about the area and provided so many great reccomendations. I love the location, and I will absolutely be coming back. The Private Osen with the mineral waters was so relaxing. I love that they have lockers for your things so you can easily come before check in leave your large items and enjoy your day. Hakone is a very beautful area, and the small and quaint area this place is located in was lovely.
