We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house and enjoyed every moment with our family. The house is beautifully designed, with so much attention to detail, creating a very special, peaceful atmosphere. One of the absolute highlights was having a private onsen in the house — such an amazing experience and the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring. The location is fantastic, surrounded by beautiful nature and within easy reach of wonderful gardens, museums, and many interesting places to visit. We especially loved the combination of Japanese culture, art, nature, and tranquility that the area offers. Everything about our stay felt special, comfortable, and memorable. It was a perfect place for our family, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

Very spacious, light filled house with sliding doors opening onto a secluded garden. The house had generous off street parking. Great location. The house was a 10 to 20 minute walk from restaurants, a waterfall, Hakone Outdoor Museum and convenience stores.

Unfortunately we had a few problems during our 5 night stay. We weren't given the code for the key lock. A contact phone number had been provided but our sim cards did not include phone calls. Luckily we were able to email Booking.com who supplied us with the code. We had chosen the home because it had a hot tub and cooking facilities. We only used the bath once because the temperature of the permanently refilling bath was 65 degrees. It took 30 minutes to dipper out enough hot water and fill with enough cold water to get the temperature down to a manageable 40 degrees. Booking.com once again came to the rescue via email to assist with instructions to operate the washing machine. We were not so lucky with the cook top. We had inadvertently activated the Child Lock and despite sending pictures of the cook top they were unable to help us. It would be extremely useful if the owners included detailed instructions as to how to operate the various appliances in the Guest Manual.
