As others have said, the couple that run the establishment are FANTASTIC! They offerred us rides and drove us to bus stops and train stations. They really go above and beyond! The private onsen was a delight as well.
As others have said, the place is 115 years old. So don't expect brand new and modern, but everything was clean and well-maintained. I consistently have back problems, so sleeping on the beds wasn't the most comfortable, but they were cozy and probably the softest of all the beds we had on our two week stay.

Simply the best!
The private onsen was the highlight of our trip, it was very cozy and comfortable
The staff: Uncle and Aunty were simply awesome!
They were super nice, accommodating and very hospitable. They also gave us their umbrella as we had forgotten. I owe them one!
They were very kind and generally warm humans.
The room was very traditional, big and comfortable. They also gave Kimono to wear.
The two onsens in the property was awesome.
Nothing much honestly, it was raining super bad that day so we couldn't explore much in the surroundings. But apart from that very nice.

Nice ryokan for staying in Hakone. We stayed 2 nights, and loved it! Its a small place, so you also get a break from the tourist masses. There are two private baths at Tsukinoya, and tatami floors with futons for sleeping. The owner couple are very friendly and helpful, they also drove us around to restaurants etc a few times ๐
