The property is a very authentic Japanese experience with a single tatami matting room to sleep and eat on. Beds were reasonably comfortable with a good internet connection. Laundry was great with good kitchen.
Getting home can be a mission if you miss the bus as it is a long way down from the station to the river area. Buses run less often after 5pm so can be a 1hr wait or a 15min adventure. Would not like to have to go up the stairs!

The property had all the amenities necessary. The kitchen was fully functional and the beds were so comfortable. We loved falling asleep to the sleep. It is well located near a hike path.
The walls were quite thin in between the other guest houses. We could hear people talk when we trying to sleep. We could hear our neighbours cellphones buzzing at 5 am, very annoying.

Very expensive for what it offers, although the location is in a highly touristy area. There was dust on the furniture, and the standard checkout time is 10:00 AM instead of the more usual 11:00 AM. Guests are required to pay an additional ¥3,000 to extend checkout until 11:00 AM, which feels unreasonable considering the room rate.
