Yamaguchi House Annex, Private House with Onsen

とにかく施設が清潔。掃除が風情のある建物なのに手入れが行き届いています。木造の内風呂も温泉が出て、露天も温泉が出る。夜の露天風呂は最高に気持ちよかったです。（両親は足元がおぼつかないので夜の庭に出るのを怖がったのと主人は蚊を嫌がって入りませんでしたが...私だけが外風呂を満喫しました）あと何泊かしたかったなあと思う宿でした。置いてあるドリップバッグタイプのコーヒーのセンスも良くて幸せな気分になりました。

アクセスはガタガタ道を入っていくので大きいスーツケースだとちょっと大変。駐車場からも少し距離がありますが格安で停めさせていただけたのは助かりました。車が施設の横に停められたらもっと最高だなあと思いました。近くの食事どころまでは車がないといけない場所かな、という印象です。でもとにかく満足度が高かったです。

This was a lovely property away from the hustle and bustle of tourists/town centre. It was very close to the train station - although funicular-like - and the location was pretty amazing, on what felt like the side of the mountain! So it was extremely peaceful and much appreciated towards the end of our trip. The host has gone to a lot of effort to explain all of the appliances, both in Japanese and English, including how to use the hot springs, as well as recommendations for local restaurants/cafes. It was a very comfortable, quiet place to stay. We loved using the hot spring water in the indoor bathtub and outdoor hot springs in the garden for our tired feet!

You need to be prepared to travel for food options as it is in a more remote location. And probably be okay with rain!

It may not be ideal if you are looking for a upmarket fancy hotel sort of place

Everything was excellent. The location was great, we were basically staying with the locals. The amenities in the property was complete, everything was there to make our stay comfortable. The outdoor and indoor Onsen was on point. It was so good. We use the outdoor onsen only once due to the weather and indoor onsen was a very good replacement. Will definitely stay at this property should we visit again. We were sad to leave but happy that we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
