Great value accommodation 5 mins from Stansted with car parking for £5 a day

Lovely clean room with extra touches e.g. toothbrushes and toothpaste. Very comfy bed.

A pretty location. Lovely countryside. Close to the airport.

Rooms are very small. Welcome wasn’t particularly friendly and it’s very isolated so you can’t walk to any local pubs or restaurants for dinner. Room also not well presented with some wear and tear that needs some maintenance.

The room was lovely, clean and well decorated. The bathroom was perfect. The host was very welcoming. Great pub nearby with good food choices and the owner arranged a taxi for us beforehand.

That the walls of the property are made out of cardboard and we had very noisy neighbours right next door to us, who not only arrived late at night but had loud and inconsiderate fun. Which isn’t nice as it is let alone when you need to wake up for a super early flight. So be careful if you book at this place and you think you might get a good night sleep before your flight

A perfect, welcoming stay with exceptional hospitality.

Absolutely wonderful! The place was incredibly cosy and comfortable — spotless clean and stocked with lovely tea and coffee facilities. Every corner is beautifully decorated with amazing attention to detail. S even picked me up from the airport, and his hospitality was truly outstanding. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Nice place close to airport

Property was clean we got there late at night. They picked us up from the airport for a very reasonable price about a couple of beers from them very nice people and they drove us to the airport the next morning so we really didn’t get to enjoy the property it was very nice and clean and cute.

The loud African folks next to us, they must be loud people, but it was really late into the night. They must not think of boring quiet at night for other people. Not the hosts fault.

Perfect quiet rural spot for a night before flying from the airport

Very clean, thoughtful little details in room, very quiet, easy parking, great pub nearby for dinner, very convenient for airport.

Slightly strange incident when after checking in with host we were chilling in the room when presumably host’s partner entered room without knocking to ask abruptly if we’d just let ourselves in!!! Also a lot of bright light coming through blinds at night - but that does keep parked cars safe!

The outrageous price for an early morning taxi to airport a 5 minute journey. Not their fault but stayed there for convenience early flight the following day but it was £27 for an early taxi. It’s just the way it is but worth knowing

Liked how well room was laid out as well as being met in person on arrival was nice, room was spotless, very good bed , went of other reviews and no doubt people will book of reviews like we did and have the same great experience and only 5 minute drive to the airport which was great

We loved everything! The owners live on the property and were incredibly helpful and attentive to our needs. The food was also amazing! The cleanliness was excellent. The charm of the historic accommodations was also wonderful. The airport and train station is only about 5 minutes away too. We easily took the train up to Cambridge for a day trip during our stay and still made it back to the room early enough for a lovely dinner!

Stress-free and comfortable pre-airport stay, including holiday parking and drop-off

Very convenient for airport. Made our Stansted departure stress free. Really convenient that we could use parking here for duration of our holiday. Host drove us to airport for just the cost of the drop-off.

A real coffee machine would have been nice - and appropriate for the level of “luxury”

Beautiful property, great hosts.

Beautiful building. The room was very comfortable and the hosts were lovely. We used the accommodation for an overnight stay before travelling to Stansted for an early flight the next morning. We were offered meals and we tried the pizza which was homemade, it tasted amazing! We were too early to use the shuttle service to the airport our host kindly offered to pick us up from the train station when we arrived which was a big help. All in all a very pleasant experience and a great start to our honeymoon.

The place is very close to the airport, clean, comfortable and very cute (old cottage) Staff is friendly and available, Steve made me a pizza at 11pm :) and was very responsive! The night was quiet, I slept very well!!

The only thing I didn’t like was 10am check out is very early as I had come to attend a party and so would have a late night. Check in was a little late also at 4pm but overall a very pleasant stay and I would definitely come back

It was really comfortable with a huge bed. There was a microwave so I was able to pop out to grab some dinner for myself. The owner was also able to take me to the airport the next morning for a very reasonable price. Great stay - I'll come again!
