We stayed in the family room and absolutely loved it. It felt unique and full of character, like stepping back in time in the best possible way. The four poster bed was a lovely touch and the fittings were beautiful. It was far more interesting and enjoyable than staying in a standard, one size fits all hotel. We had a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back.

Comfortable bed and nice room. Lots of fun car related touches and plenty of options for breakfast. There is a whole kitchen which can be used which was a nice change to normal hotels. Also considering it was so close to Stanstead airport, it was pretty quiet and I slept really well. Location is really handy for the airport. Host was friendly too
It can be a bit tricky to find especially at night.

Freedom to help myself to tea/coffee, snacks and use of kitchen facilities all throughout my stay.
Peaceful location and very comfortable bed resulted in an excellent night’s sleep.
Super Chinese takeaway with other recommended options nearby.
Though not knowledgeable, I loved the car theme. Out of the ordinary!

We loved staying at PitStop. The room was excellent in art deco style throughout. The breakfast room was very good with a wide range of food to prepare. We enjoyed looking at the Morgans in the morning, particularly the three-wheeler.
Not sure about no door to the bathroom

The property cannot be faulted. Not only is it unique but the hosts go out of their way to make sure the stay is both pleasurable and memorable
If you’re a petrolhead there’s literally nowhere that comes close in my opinion and even if you’re not it’s an exceptional experience
Been staying here for at least 12 years and never fails to impress

The facilities have unique auto racing theme which i enjoyed. Good accommodations, good heat when cold outside, very good security, food hereby and easy access to motor way.
Do your own breakfast in a b&b but 24 hours.

Great character, superbly done, unlike anywhere else that you're likely to stay. The Diner is well stocked with breakfast items and can be used for take-away dinners. Also enjoyed viewing the Morgan collection.

The theme
No restaurant, had to make your own breakfast if you wanted anything, room was cold due to heating not working

Extremely friendly and helpful hosts (Mel & Sindy), beautiful & immaculately kept motoring branding, dark & quiet bedroom with classy bed linen, well equipped bathroom, the diner (wow! worth staying just to see this) both as a 24 hour facility and a relaxing place to be outside the bedroom, great choice of cereals and teas for breakfast. Excellent recommendation of local pub ( The Thatchers) for an evening meal.
This is more of a quibble: although we would have preferred a cooked breakfast, the DIY arrangement turned out fine as we had plenty of time before our flight. A few extra ingredients would have been appreciated.
We would be happy to return and recommend to others.

I like a window in my room, not the failing of the property

We liked the designs, decoration and inspiration in every single corner across the facilities. Detailed and curated.
We also liked the attention, care and freedom to move around giving us a home feeling.
And of course, all of the Morgan cars access! Seeing them and being able to take pictures with them. That was a highlight.
Maybe we didn’t fully enjoy the breakfast options available on that occasion. Was a great free selection to choose but could potentially improve in freshness. Maybe with sachets or something that will maintain other breakfast options differently.

Loved the themed room and the fact that we were amongst these amazing historic motor cars. The diner like stepping back into the fifties. Breakfast is all self serve but there is so much choice and the kitchen facilities are immaculate. Will definitely return

The nostalgic motoring theme, consistently evident in a well-planned, unique accommodation, with high quality fittings. The self-service breakfast suited our needs, and it was quiet, apart from the aircraft from Stansted flying over, but that stopped while we slept. It was good to be able to view the array of Morgans, so beautifully maintained. Self-check-in was well explained by text, and although we didn’t get to meet our host, we felt we had been well looked after.

Beautiful art-deco classic car themed hotel. Although I'm not a classic car enthusiast, it was still lovely. Alot of thought had gone into the look of the place and into creating a comfortable environment for guests. The large kitchen was self-service- it was like a home from home, but better (!) with everything you needed for breakfast, tea/cofee and snacks .
The owner couldn't be there but called me ahead of time to let me know, give me instructions and he arranged for his daughter to greet me.
The ensuite was spacious, comfortable and clean, with the decor in keeping with the theme and every thing I needed for a comfortable night's sleep. There was a book with local information, including recommendations for eating out and take aways, Menus and local taxi-cabs. After a hard day's running from Cheshunt on wild footpaths, it was just what I needed! I would definitely recommend and stay again.
A bit of a walk up from from the river path, and a cab or car needed to the nearest place to eat, but that was nothing to do with the hotel, which I couldn't fault.

Lovely kitchen that was well stocked for breakfast
The bed was a bit uncomfortable and the windows were in the ceiling - the road noise and planes kept me awake. Also we got the train which meant a taxi ride - there is nowhere to eat locally so taxi bills soon rack up going out and back to the station - one way from the station was 12 quid.

Dry clean nicely decorated room. Excellent bed and bathroom.
Having to make my own breakfast. We’ve traveled all over the world staying in all sorts of accommodation but this is the first time we’ve had to do this - and I hope the last.

Exceptional B&B not only for motor enthusiasts, located behind a Morgan car dealership and workshop. Beautiful surroundings, as well the estate as the village, well-maintained and clean rooms and public areas, free parking, very courteous host.
Nothing.

This is a truly delightful place. So interesting and the kitchen diner is amazing. The breakfast was plentiful. A 'help yourself to such a variety' experience. We had brought our own dinner with us, as we had eaten out for lunch, so really nice to have this creative diner to heat and eat and enjoy a wine while chatting with other guests. Staff are friendly and helpful. The cars are a treat to explore and to have rooms designed around that theme was amazing. Loved the little floor lights and the bathroom is really cool, (oh yes and check out the fish in the ponds).
It was very hot, and we had the smallest room with no window to open and no aircon, the ceiling fan did little to ease the heat. If you are there in the middle of summer, I would encourage avoiding this room. However, despite this we didn't let it detract from the delight of the place. Next time we will plan for spring or autumn.

Great B&B, good location, easy to find, quirky and interesting. Being able to wander through the showroom to see the beautiful Morgans was a bonus.
Although the proximity to the airport could be a bonus it does come with obvious disbenefits.

Our stay at The PitStop was nothing short of wonderful. Melvyn and Sindy are extraordinary hosts—genuinely warm, friendly, and effortlessly welcoming. Their passion for Morgans—and for hospitality—shines through in every detail. The onsite Morgan garage is a delight for any car enthusiast, but even if you don’t know a Morgan from a Mini, you’ll still love the atmosphere. The huge American‑style diner where guests help themselves to breakfast (and can use it anytime!) was such a treat—so well stocked and charming. Everything across the property felt personal, thoughtful, and inviting.
There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like — everything was thoughtfully done and full of character.

The PitStop was amazing! We felt like time traveling to 1930s. The interior was full of interesting vintage things. Loved the help yourself kitchen concept. Definitely a 10 out of 10 experience.
It was a hot day and therefore the room was quite hot.

Such a great place to stay - lots of interesting and quirky features which we really liked. The room was very comfortable and clean and the large diner for DIY breakfast was perfect for us. We were able to use the diner to eat our evening meal too which was ideal.
There's nothing to dislike.
