I booked this hotel specifically because I noticed that someone had asked “Can we book EV charging please?”, with the answer (in Oct 2022) “We have free EV charging available”, but it turned out to not be true, and, on speaking to someone at reception who had worked there since 2018, it’s never been free. It’s even more disappointing that despite complaining, the message is still there this morning. No offer of a price reduction and not particular apologetic. Also, I declined breakfast at over £20 as it seemed excessive when I wanted little more than cereal or toast.

Comfortable but needs attention.

Lovely building steeped in history. Good location with plenty of parking.

Extremely small bathroom, the room was described as compact and the description was perfect as it certainly was. Room very dark and some of the bulbs weren’t working. When sitting on the toilet you have to be very careful not to burn your arm on the heated towel rail. Breakfast was £22.50 per person.

Beautiful location to stay for a wedding or even for a relaxing getaway.

Thanks to the lovely helpful staff and the beautiful location we had a brilliant stay before and after our wedding day. Even with the rainy weather the staff kindly accommodated us accordingly and provided indoors options for our photoshoots, and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction.

Cannot fault the place!

Nothing bad to say. Amazing grounds, food was amazing and bed was super comfy and room quiet. Best nights sleep in a long while. Didn’t have the breakfast as was full form the great dinner the night before!

Our stay was excellent from start to finish, we travelled to Ware for sad circumstances, the hotel staff were very compassionate and very helpful with all our needs.

Surrounding was beautiful!

Receptionist was very unfriendly, rooms were so small and uncomfortable, the price was so much above than the value. We stayed so much better hotels in our trip for less.

The bathroom is really tired. Big dirty spider hanging off the sink that had been there for some tired. Constant little files in the bathroom we had to keep killing! Also £22 per person for breakfast was way overpriced!!
