The king bed in room 1 was quite firm, a little too firm for me so I didn’t sleep well. Hubby was fine. Maybe I could ask if they had a softer bed for next visit.

The breakfast staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious.

The receptionist was not welcoming and when I asked for a second towel for the room, it was very awkward! Unfortunately the room was very basic, no coat hook, bathroom very tatty and in urgent need of modernising.

A good value friendly stay with all the facilities you might need.

The staff were very friendly and check-in was quick and easy. As it's a pub, it was very convenient to walk into the restaurant area and order from a menu with a good variety of meals. Breakfast was very good, with cereals and a fresh cooked Full English with quality ingredients. Room had full facilities of TV, Tea/coffe snacks, Iron and Ironing board extra pillows, fan and an extra heater (not needed as the heating was good.

The food in the restaurant is always delicious. The staff are always friendly. From the bar/restaurant staff in the evening, to the ladies who serve you your breakfast in the morning. It's always a welcoming atmosphere,

If I had to pick one thing, it would be to have bigger beds, but that's only because I'm used to my superking bed at home.

Lovely pub and restaurant. Warm and friendly. The room was basic but adequate and ok for the price.

We asked for a quiet room but were put in a room at the front. Be mindful, the road is quite busy throughout the night and we found it to be noisy. So if you are a light sleeper, we suggest you request a non road facing room.

I had a great stay at The Cock Inn Pub Hotel near Stansted Airport. The place has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff and excellent service. The drinks are well-poured and there’s a great selection to choose from. The food is consistently good with a varied menu that has something for everyone, from hearty pub classics to lighter options. Breakfast was freshly cooked and really set me up for the day. My bedroom was comfortable, clean, and quiet — perfect for a relaxing night’s sleep before an early flight. Overall, it’s a gem of a pub-hotel that combines great hospitality with good value. Highly recommended!
