It was the worst guest house I have ever stayed in.

I wish I had read the reviews before booking this guest house. We would have definitely avoided it. First, we were unable to find the guest house as it was dark in the street and the guest house sign was not lit up and was obscured by a tree. No staff on site. We were not told it was self check in and had to phone the manager to get the code for our key into our room. We had to park our car on grass so as not to block the exit. There was no lighting so were scrabbling around in the dark. On opening our door the room was in complete darkness, I couldn’t find a light switch and stepped into the room, falling down a step and landing on the floor. The heating was not working and my husband and I slept in our clothes. The following morning we left at 6.30am again in darkness, using a flash light to find our way to the car. My husband (aged 82) fell over on the muddy grass. Luckily he was unhurt but his trousers were covered in mud.

We travelled in the evening, it was very difficult to find the property. it is on the main road and although there is a small sign, it is not lit up at all. Also the room was very cold when we arrived as the radiator was not working, fortunately there was a free stand heater which helped a bit.

The rattan garden furniture chairs in the room. No cushion and uncomfortable. Nothing else!

thankfully just an overnight stay

no information was given before the stay.so we had to find our way then call. we had no kettle so we were unable to have a hot drink on arrival after a long day. even though i called to ask they said trhey would get me one so we waited after a long wait i called and they said i would get a kettle in the morning again no kettle there was no light in the parking area and i hit the side of my car . the outside of the premises looks really bad and the inside is very worn out

Very close to the airport

No staff to assist with check in, have to call them. Couldn’t close bathroom window, moths kept coming in. Toilet flush didn’t work. TV didn’t work.

there was nobody to meet us and help with allocation, the only shelf in a wardrobe was broken, shower was not working properly as well

comfy bed that’s about all

on arrival key box broken so key available to anyone…in the room no milk no toilet roll no spoon. after THREE phone calls and we’ll over an hour of waiting finally got cartons of milk and one half previously used toilet roll!! it does not take an hour to deliver milk… well it obviously does and a half a loo roll service diabolical and no one is on site to help the shower is broken needs fixing room 1!

I've emailed this hotel 3 times now asking for a receipt to be sent and still nothing if I had of seen someone inwiudl have ask for a receipt but I met no one here all the time I was here

Nothing. The room was rank.

Cleaning the room would be a great start. Dirty sheets and towels, cups and bathroom weren't just from one night. There were old cob webs, and water stain/marks. I refused to stay, even though I arrived after 1 am.

Don’t stay here. It’s cheap but not worth the money.

the bed was comfortable.

To many things to say. It needs some serious attention and quite honestly should have guests until it’s had a lot of work done on it. We didn’t feel safe, random people came knocking on the door, there was no manned reception or staff on site. Cobwebs and dirt everywhere. The surrounding area is a rubbish tip. Basic at its very extreme. It definitely shouldn’t be offered as a place to stay by Booking.com or any other site.

walked in to the smell of weed. Geeza who run the place was screaming from his room for some reason. came out to greet us stoned out his head and chucked us the key. noise of banging doors throughout the night. felt like I was at a squatters house.

A good place to cheaply stay the night before a flight but not a good place to feel comfortable.

It was easy to get into the room - a code was given to unlock a box with the room key so it didn't matter that I arrived late and no one was needed to check me in. It was easy to get a bus to stansted airport in the morning.

I was scared while I was staying as everything felt quite sketchy. The hallway stinks of weed, and it feels quite unsafe. It was really hard to find the building in the dark and it was unclear that I was able to walk straight in the front door.
