Nothing
We were put into a different location without prior notification or agreement and offered a refund for every day.But the night we stayed.I never received a refund. There were flies everywhere! We left it cleaner than when we arrived and the owner won't answer texts

The view, and the spacious chalet.
Low ceiling, but expected. It was raining when we arrived and the uphill walking with luggages was rather difficult. But this was a weather issue.

The house is located in a very nice place in the midst of beautiful nature, offering a spectacular view of Grindelwald, The whirlpool in the garden was heated when we arrived and it was always very pleasant to take a dip after the hike.
The house is not very comfortable. Ceilings are very low, so if you are taller than 160 cm you will be hitting your head all the time. The bathroom is awful - the water pressure is very low so that almost no water comes out of the shower. Not enough towels, and they were quite small. The toilet gets clogged after almost every use and there is no plunger.
The equipment of the kitchen is very basic. There should really be a microwave at least.
There are absolutely no instructions about the house when you arrive. Usually you always find a laminated paper with house rules, tips etc., but there is nothing in this house. Not sure until now what we were supposed to do with garbage. The owner is not very friendly and was outright rude to us when we pointed out that wi-fi did not work.

Amazing view. Cool and unique. Definitely great but not for everyone
Difficult access, by walking up a 100m 45degree track. No car access.
Super low ceilings, I'm not tall but bumped my head a fair few times

Nice view, authentic Swiss chalet, wood heating, whirlpool, nice host.
The description didn't state that ceilings are so low that you can't navigate inside without bending, should go uphills and ski in and out are not easy.

The view is amazing, we liked the isolation and being in nature, the Jacuzzi is very nice, the kitchen was well equipped and the hut was clean.
The one thing we liked the best was Daina :-) , she was welcoming, helpful and very nice.
We loved it, but we think that it is important to know what to expect so read also the next section...
There are few things that makes the hut not comfertable : to get there the first time was like an escape room, you have to come with patience. . You need to be aware that you have to climb from the parking for 6 minutes up the hill each time. The hut ceiling is low, we are tall group of people, we bumped our heads few times a day.
The bath room is very small and not comfertable. The sleeping area is actually one divided , there is one double bed in a small nook that is suitable only for children .

Nice apartment. Beautiful view. The Cabin is large and clean with a fully equipped kitchen.
The hostess was nice and gave us a lot of information
We were very disappointed.
First we did not find the house and in the end it turned out that it was hidden and was a 15 minutes of hard walking from the car parking up the mountain.
The days when we were there were very hot and there was not even a fan. It was impossible to open any window because everything was full of flies so it was really stuffy and we could barely sleep.

It's remoteness, character, historic authenticity..the fact it was practically up the mountain close to the first mountain train station was amazing...but you need to love a hike!
Getting the car up there was a bit of a challenge.

This was the second time at the chalet and again it was a great pleasure.
We enjoyed the view and the snow and chalet so much!
One of the matras of the double bed could be renewed it’s not the most comfortable.

The view was superb. Kids like the jacuzzi so much. Owner was very kind too.
Need some walk to get to the house. Hot water tank was not big. But other than that, everything was fine.

Wonderful view, hot tub, and nice host. If you want to feel like a real Swiss Alp resident then this is the place for you.
Wish we had been given more instruction on how to get to the property. We would have been more prepared. The property is located far from the main train station and a difficult climb if bringing a suitcase or even a backpack for the casual traveler. My suggestion is to either take a taxi to the host home to check in, or have the host pick you up and take you to the location, because once at the location you still have to climb up a steep hill to get to the house. It took us several days before we figured out the best way to get up to the house and down. My suggestion once settled in is: from Grindelwald station, take the train to Brandegg station. You will have to search for this station as it is not a common stop. From Brandegg station, follow the road and once past the underpass, there will be a path to the left. Take that path and it will lead you downhill to the house. You can also take this path back up to the station to take the train back into town if you don’t want to walk back into town.
Now that my friends and I have figured out the best way to get in and out, we are considering coming back. It is a nice setting to disconnect and take in nature especially in the hot tub after an intense day hiking the Alps.
Side note: To date there is no WiFi at the house. You will have to go down hill to the hosts own home to use WiFi. You will have to walk back up the steep hills to get back to the house.
