Wouldn’t wish to stay here again - very dim and old apartment

We stayed in the apartment which has 4 rooms. It was a very disappointing and terrible stay. The apartment is very dim and old - as compared to the photos advertised on Booking.com. The bed, pillow, towel were not clean and comfortable at all. The kitchen is also very small but well equipped. In addition, there is NO washing machine being provided in the apartment despite being advertised on Booking.com. It is only available at a cost in another floor. Marcel, the receptionist did admit the hotel made a mistake, and offered a small bottle of wine as compensation. When checking out, it was very disappointed that the hotel didn’t want to provide us with the shuttle service (10 CHF) as they only provide it if we are to go to the train station. As we need to transfer to another hotel, which is very close to the train station (~2 mins), they didn’t want to provide this service. While we understand this to some extent, it felt a bit harsh for us and not very hospitable, as the receptionist seems impatient to even help us phone the taxi which we ended up taking for 20 CHF.

Everything to be honest. The apartment is very poor in quality (I would suggest not to trust the photo advertised - they are heavily photoshopped). Overall, it was a very terrible stay for us that we are so happy to check out once our stay is over.

Good choice to stay in Grindelwald

The Jungfrau Lodge is a fantastic choice for us especially looking for a spacious and home-like atmosphere. Its proximity to the center makes it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing meals, and the spectacular view of Mount Eiger is simply breathtaking. It truly feels like a perfect retreat! The staff is helpful and suggest ways to explore Grindelwald. Our family is having a really good time here. I will choose to stay here again.

A wonderful stay with breathtaking views

The apartment was a great stay with everything you need in terms of comfort. The kitchen was excellent and the rooms were a very good size. It was very warm and cosy when it snowed. There were 4 of us and you can fit another 2 rooms if needed. Didn't use breakfast facilities in the restaurant. Would love to come back and the views are very very special. It's a great place all in all.

Some of the interior is chintzy and a little bit dated, such as duvets and beds probably need updating. If upstairs are running around, it can be a bit like elephants stomping, but I am nit-picking. Well, be back.

Well located appartment!

The apartment is great, with a fantastic location. It has everything you need and is perfect for bigger groups! We had a great time here.

However, we do have some feedback regarding the handling at the reception. On one occasion, we experienced being met in a very degrading manner by a receptionist when asking a simple question. Unfortunately, we felt that the staff member was both judgmental and condescending, and while language differences and cultural variations may play a role, we did not appreciate being treated this way. Even when we provided feedback that this was simply rude behavior, we felt that there was little understanding in response. Apart from this, we have been very satisfied with our stay, and the apartment is lovely.

well positioned - apartment has a magnificent panoramic view of the Eiger and the mountainside. Very spacious and comfortable.

The Eiger view from the apartment is amazing. The facilities especially kitchen is vey good and complete.

The location is about 10 minutes walk from Grindelwald station. The bed is very small for me (180 cm. tall)

good location.

I booked a 4 bedroom and two bathroom apt for myself and 3 friends. We arrived and were given a 3 bedroom and one bathroom apartment. upon speaking to the staff we were told we had been given a large discount by using booking.com and this was what we were getting. We eventually managed to get another bathroom opened in our apartment which was behind a locked door. BEWARE and double check what you are actually getting for your booking. I would have went elsewhere had I not paid prior to my arrival.

The apartment is suitable for family of 6 and the kitchen had all the necessary equipments. The location was amazing.

Room Cleaning is not free. There are no double bed in the rooms. Twin single bed were provided. Rooms are little bit small.

The property at good location and view. open the deck door, the view is fabulous! the apartment has lots spaces. The staff there is really nice.

The smell in kitchen is really bad, not sure where the smell comes from, if they can fix that. this place would be really good!

Very good but disappointment with Single bed system for families with young kids

property is good and clean and walkable distance from Railway station.

2 single beds were given for family and kids room is far away from parents room and kids are not comfortable in sleeping in new places away from parents… After day long walks you will easily get tired and no proper sleeping system.. so you cannot rest up

apartment with eiger view

the view from the apartment and location. got free parking.

staff not friendly!! they don’t provide shampoo or soap so need to bring your own. quite ashamed because the price for the apartment expensive supposedly provide it. you need to take all your garbage and put inside the silver bin which is outside of the hotel. a bit annoying. pillow not comfortable at all. because of the pillow I got neck problem and headache.

Really beautiful Hotel in a spectacular location facing the North Face of the Eiger

Location was perfect between the two main ski areas, accommodation was easily large enough for four adults

Trying to find something that didn't go right - Only thing i can think of was that there was a lingering smell in the kitchen which we reported to reception, i honestly don't think they knew about it until we reported it and it didn't spoil the stay.....They reassured us it would be addressed.
