Chalet Sunneblick

Lovely well-equiped top floor(s) apartment, with stunning views of the Eiger and surrounding area, in a quiet location (though on the Trottibike route in the day). We got used to the steep 5min walk up the road from the bus stop (they mostly run half-hourly), with heavy shopping, but the views made it all worth it. Washing machine was useful.

With no car or bike and it being a 35min walk to the centre we relied on the buses and were surprised to learn that they finished by 7pm, making dinner in the town tricky with either a long uphill walk walk or a taxi (which needs to be pre-booked in advance) to get back afterwards. If you have a car or (e)bikes then this won't be worry.

We had a wonderful stay at this chalet! The location was perfect—peaceful and tucked away from the hubbub, yet still close enough to easily explore the area. The views were absolutely beautiful and one of the highlights of our trip. The chalet was very comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. Overall, it was a relaxing place to unwind after a day of exploring. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with stunning scenery.

The chalet is up the hill past the town centre so if you want to walk down to be in the middle of the craziness, you’ll have a steep walk back. We didn’t want to do that so it wasn’t an issue for us.

Stunning property, incredible location and breathtaking views. Clean, well-equipped, peaceful and practical.

Lack of microwave, separate grill, no bbq But really minor points!!!

Spectacular view off the balcony, great for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Spacious, well thought out floor plan. Shower has fabulous water pressure and plenty of hot water.

It wasn't a problem, but the house is a steep uphill climb from the village. There is one parking spot and limited street parking (just FYI).
