Would love to stay again!

The views from our room and the common area were super pretty and you could see the mountains so clearly. The common kitchen is really new, clean and has everything you need to cook from microwaves to oven to pots and utencils. The room was really comfortable and spacious for the 2 of us. Everything was really clean and new. A transport pass is also provided when staying so you get free bus rides around the city. It is helpful because you can get a ride from the hotel down to the main areas or bus terminal. However last bus was maybe at 7pm? I cant remember the exact time.

If you are unable to catch the bus, it would be quite a uphill and long walk up to the hotel. Really scenic but might be hard to get to for some.

Bad experience

The hotel was clean

The hotel house keeping stole my expensive watch. I left the watch inside the hotel, thinking it will be safe to keep my valuable inside the locked room. But it wasn’t the case. My watch was stolen by the cleaning person.

Gorgeous winter stay with incredible staff

Beautiful views, super comfortable bed and a lovely breakfast put together by the incredible staff ☺️

Only thing to be aware of is the property sits at the top of a steep hill so be aware if you don’t have a car and plan on using public transport because the buses don’t run all the time and you will have to walk ~15 minutes up a very steep hill +- snowy if in winter to get back to the property - however it is a truly lovely stay and the staff were so lovely and helpful - definitely recommend just come prepared to walk - perfect stay if you have a car.

Breathtaking View and Astonishing Mountain View

This units location might be challenging. But still its worth taking the effort to stay there. They gave us one of the biggest room with a balcony. We got our best pics and reels form this unit. I would recommend all to stay here at least for a night. Maybe reaching the unit is little hard. But that's the fun part to stay distant in nature.

Great and original

The staff was very nice. It's a quiet place at Grindelwald away from the crowd. This is really pleasant. Great and modern room. The shared kitchen in the evening is something unusual to me in a hotel and I really liked it. Some people cooked. I could reheat one meal or some milk. This makes this hotel also original. The walk to the city center is enjoyable who those who are not afraid of steep paths. But there is a bus too near the hotel for others.

Room with a spectacular view.

The location is very good, within walking distance of the town. The view of the Eiger from our terrace was amazing. The facilities are modern, comfortable and clean. We ordered breakfast and it was varied and delicious. Staff are lovely.

The room really needs air conditioning this time of year my husband and I had terrible night sleeps for the 2 nights we stayed here which was such a shame as everything else was fabulous

Parking lot, View

I stayed in this Hotel at with my wife and my two kids. We stayed in room number 31, at the attic. This is Unsuitable Accommodation and misleading Representation I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the accommodation I rented through Booking.com. This room, is far from being suitable for human habitation, has proven to be an absolute disgrace, causing significant discomfort and severe back pain to everyone in my family. The most egregious issue is the severely sloped ceilings in both the bathroom/toilet and the main living area. In the bathroom, it is impossible to stand upright, forcing us to crouch or bend over just to use the facilities. Washing your face or brushing your teeth, is impossible, you should be an acrobat, in order to see your face. In short, the bathroom is simply unacceptable and unusable. Similarly, the living space offers only a few square meters where one can stand fully erect, for the vast majority of the room, we are forced to walk around bent over. This is completely unacceptable and frankly, an insult to rent out such a unit as living accommodation for human beings. The photos on Booking.com are highly misleading and in no way accurately reflect the true, unlivable conditions of the property As a direct result of these deplorable conditions, we are all suffering from terrible back pain. The temperature in the room was unbearable, the old and noisy fan is a sad joke that does not provide even a partial solution, the windows in the roof can be opened but then there are lots of insects that come in, so even though it was a nice day outside, and even it was rained, the room was simply boiling with heat, and it was impossible to sleep, we just waited for morning to come and run away from there. This accommodation is unfitting and truly not suitable for human dwelling.

Amazing location overlooking the Eiger. Staff were great. It’s a sort of upmarket guest house but works well. A relatively challenging walk into town (and particularly back), but we look for this.

Never Again

The room was large and the bed pretty comfortable. There was a large communal kitchen where guests could cook their own meals and store food in the refrigerator.

This place reminded me of an up-graded hostel which cost way too much money for the place, the location, the view, the comfort, etc. The coffee service was a joke. They had freeze dried coffee in the room and then charged, a lot, to use the communal coffee machine in the kitchen. That “coffee” was almost all milk, no matter what setting you used. It was free during breakfast, but was still awful. Be aware the place has no air conditioning. Lots of bugs visiting when you open the window. They are called the Eiger View, but really there was a large tree right smack in the middle of the view. Also be aware that the location is way up the hill above Grindewald, so it’s a walk downhill to town. They do provide free bus transport back up the hill until a certain time. There is no restaurant or bar. The shower is one of the old style with the wrap around shower curtain. The place would have been fine at $200/night, but they charged about $400/night and it was not worth it!

A hidden gem, definitely recommended.

Wonderful view, very friendly and helpful staff. The location, well above the village, makes for a quiet and peaceful stay. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Very good breakfast, available at CHF 20.

The location, combined with the limited bus schedule, makes access at night either exhausting (by foot) or expensive (by taxi). Worth it though.

Great view and warm staff

The hotel has a beautiful view, and the staff were super friendly. They had everything ready for our check-in and even lent us an umbrella so we could enjoy the city despite the rain. The shared kitchen had all the basics we needed to cook a meal without any hassle. The shower is easily the highlight for me, strong pressure and super relaxing!

The only downside was the parking fee. There was plenty of space, so it felt unnecessary to charge for it. Free parking would have made the experience even better.

Awesome view from a hotel percheed well above the village of Grindlelwald.

The view from the room we stayed in was truly spectacular, right onto the famous Eiger. Having a balcony to sit and have an evening drink while looking across the valley was also great. The sole person who checked us in and served breakfast was very friendly.

The dedicated bathroom was across the hall, which was not ideal for privacy. Some of the other rooms seem to have en suite bathrooms.

Perfect for few days staying with access to everything with possibility to cook on your own.

Great design and colors of the interior, very comfortable and cosy. Spacious, clean rooms, available, big parking, 1 common fully equiped kitchen, 1 common living room.

Just point for attention: if you want to walk to Grindelwald center, there is quite steep path (15min wallking), although views are wonderfull.
