A true gem in the heart of the city

Prime location, spacious room and bathroom, really nice breakfast. There's an option to book private parking (but tbh, it's slightly cheaper to get fined for not paying the public parking - if the spot can be found nearby, which is a big IF). The staff is really forthcoming and friendly.

If I had to point out something, then it would be the lack of an elevator, and plenty of stairs in the room itself - this wasn't a problem for us but I can see how it can be for some people.

Not much at all. Room just a little small and a little bit of noise connected with the restaurant and area but not much really. It is to be expected given the location. I am a light sleeper and it was bad at all

Great location and a great room

Our favourite room over our 5 weeks in the Balkans. Big space, high ceilings, lots of natural light and a small balcony with a view across to the park and the action on the pedestrian area below. Comfy bed too.

This place is not accessible. It’s an old charming building without elevator access. Unfortunately it could be a problem if you’re looking for something more friendly. It would be nice if you add it in the hotel’s description. My aunt struggled everyday by using stairs because she has problems with her knees.

It was perfect! Our room was clean, comfortable and homely. The restaurant had amazing food! Staff was excellent and inviting. Location was brilliant.

WORTH FOR A STAY

Location is absolutely superb. in the pedestrian zone, in the heart of the city center. Before parking, call the facility, and there will be someone to guide you to the parking spot. the Breakfast choice is amazing... and the quality - is more than superb. Would be happy to come back anytime.

Lanterna will be my only choice for my next visit to Novi Sad!

All-round excellent accommodation located in a ideal spot in the centre. Very comfortable and pleasant room with an outstanding bed which made for a very good night’s sleep. Breakfast is served in the restaurant downstairs and has something for every taste both sweet and savoury. Great! I inadvertently left some jewellery behind in the room and they were in touch by message by telephone and message before I had barely left Novi Sad. Super service and highly recommended.

Very tasty breakfast. Excellent location, you can reach most points of interest by foot. I wish we had taken a thermometer to check the temperature inside, it was very toasty with no possibility to change the thermostat but we kind of liked it for this time of the year. Very friendly staff, everything was clear, we got 10% off of a meal at one of their locations. The rooms were freshly renovated, very clean, we had everything we needed for our 1 night stay and even more. Parking was included in the price, we did not pay extra. There is a city tax you pay at the end but it was explicitly mentioned when I made the booking. I had to go inside the restaurant and an employee got in our car and guided us to the parking, it was behind a locked gate.

Mediocre coffee. Some sound from outside carries inside through the glazed glass front door (which you can cover with a curtain but doesn't help the sound), was not a problem in our case though.

Found Novi Sad to be an attractive, pleasant city.

Clean bright apartment with sofa. Great location. Restaurant very good. Nice wait staff. Breakfast choices good and tasty.

52 steps to the 2nd floor. Stayed in #204. Just made certain to have everything before leaving for the day.

Missleading room description, smelly room, not really a friendly staff!

Good location! Private parking (for quite high price)

We got the room without any window at all. They don’t mention it in room description. They even marked as “the room with patio”! So you cannot let any fresh air in your room. If you open the door of your room the let some air in (it is actually the passage way for all other guests, so everyone can look or enter into your room) you will get the kitchen smell and the kitchen noise from a restaurant kitchen underneath the room. In the morning, there is a early noise from the same kitchen so you can’t sleep after 6:30. In fact, when you sleep, other guests will pass just 1,5m by your head with only a thin glass in between (the main door of your room is a glass door) There is a curtain to cover the door but I felt like I was slleping in a window display 🤨 The room was smelling so bad from the sink in the bathroom. We tried everything but the smell was there all through our stay. The hotel staff (actually the waiters from their restaurant) were not very friendly, especially the man at the breakfast. Quite rude! We did stay because it was only one night but we would never come back!

Location is absolutely perfect. Room is tiny but bed is comfy. Loved having breakfast in Dunavska street every morning. Clean and renovated.

The smallest rooms which they offer are not big enough to open two big suitcases at the same time. The only source of natural light is the door which is made out of glass. I would stay again in Lanterna, but not in their smallest room.

Room was really clean and nice to stay in. Big and comfortable beds were really important for us. Very very delicious breakfast :) good blackout curtains helped to sleep well. Situated just in the city center.

To have windows in the second room would be also nice, but that's nothing critical. Was too warm, we couldn't find how to turn off the heaters. Also nothing bad :) so we want to come back!

Amazing place, great location. Super clean and comfy. Good breakfast. Crib for for baby is super cute 🤗

Only remark, although this is very subjective matter, room was too warm, we turn down heating and open a window for a while, and it was good. Also window view is at the passage so it's not intimate much, but there are thick drapes so we covered the windows. Never the less, i would come back again and recommend it.
