Everything! The hostel feels more like a boutique hotel. The free breakfast is excellent and Francesco goes above and beyond for each guest.

Great location, comfortable beds, and a cozy, homey atmosphere. They also offer an excellent breakfast with a wonderful homemade granola!

I had an amazing experience staying at this hostel! The location is absolutely perfect – just a short walk from La Spezia train station, which makes it super convenient for exploring the stunning Cinque Terre. You can easily commute to all the major spots in no time!
The breakfast was also great, with a good variety of options to start your day off right. What really made the stay memorable, though, was the host. They were incredibly informative and genuinely helpful, providing excellent tips and making sure you felt completely at home. It truly felt like a cozy and welcoming environment.
Nothing to complain

Francesco was so kind, helpful and made the effort to recommend things to do in the area and also remember everyone’s name. Best hostel I have stayed in! The breakfast was delicious. All other guests were really friendly and everyone talked at night and in the morning about their adventures in the area. Highly recommend!

I had the best time here and made some great friends! Francesco was a fabulous host and his recommendations for the area were great! Everywhere was spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated, beds very comfy too! Great proximity to the train station for access to the Cinque Terre villages and beyond. Breakfast everyday was delicious and the staff at the bar very friendly! Will definitely be recommending to anyone visiting the area!
Nothing, it was perfect!

Super nice hosts! The place is not too big, so it feels really familiar there, e.g. the hosts know all guests by their name. They also had many great suggestions about hikes in Cinque Terre. The breakfast is amazing. The station is just 2 min away and Cinque Terre is reached in 10 to 20 min. Clean and quiet place.

Best hostel I've ever been to. It's a very good memory. First of all, the inn is very clean. Thanks to the owner's good cleaning, the residents try to keep it clean (dirty inns tend to get dirtier, but this is not the case). It's very secure and very close to the station. All environments are perfect.
Secondly, the owner of the inn is a very kind and gentle person. Soooooo nice!!!!
also, Many of the residents came to the Cinque Terre for trekking, and many of them were lively, cheerful and friendly.
My best memory was the talking with kind people there.
With wine in hand, we talked for about three hours in the cafe area. Elizabeth was the only one whose name I heard, but I will never forget all the others.
It is definitely a place where you can have a wonderful time. I recommend it with all my might!

Staff was amazing, incredibly nice and friendly! I was only there for a night and planning to wake up early so I didn't try to chat with other travellers but it's clear the staff tried to make it a friendly place - introducing me to everyone in the room, and offering a glass of wine at 7PM so people can meet
Location is great, right next to the train station, and close to the center of town
Beds are little curtain by the pillow, which is always a nice thing
Good sturdy lockers with key provided - no need to bring your own lock
No real common room (I didn't care, but some might) - there's only the bar (open to all) downstairs in a courtyard. It's a really nice one though
Shower is tiny, you can't really change in there, as there's no place to put your clothes where they wouldn't get wet. You can put your towel inside and get your clothes from the room once you're done, and then change in the shower - but it's not really convenient and I personally don't love that
But great stay overall, definitely recommend it!

Perfect location, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent breakfast, spacious bed. Great suggestions for places to eat and go after you’ve done the main hike.
There is a blue light in the bed that was always on that I couldn’t turn off. The curtain for the bed only covers 2/3rd of the bed. for these reasons a sleeping mask is a must. Areas not for hostel guests are not clearly marked (I.e the seating area when you walk in is not for hostel guests, and the door from the inside of the hostel to the back courtyard is also staff only and not marked)

The free breakfast was great. The location was also perfect as a base to see all of Cinque Terre. Literally steps from the train station in La Spezia. You could leave 5 min before your train and make it on time. It’s very clean and new. The owners also take the time to help you plan your itinerary and give great tips so you can make the most of your stay.
A small kitchen or at least fridge/microwave would have been nice.

Wow! Antonio is the most kind, gracious host. Breakfast was fantastic and when we had to leave early the morning we checked out, he even provided us with a to-go bag! He was so helpful with giving us tips on what to see in the area. The hostel is only 1 min from the train station so location couldn't have been better. Bathrooms were extremely clean and the rooms had AC, so we didn't have to worry about opening our windows and possibly allowing bugs in
The bathrooms are divided into men's and women's, which I really preferred and there is a great ratio of bathrooms to guests. However, the only slightly tricky part is figuring out where to get dressed/ undressed during showers- I was lucky that there was no one else in the bathroom at the time, otherwise I would have just gone into the shower stall to change, but I know it's not as much room as if you were to have a private bathroom

This was definitely the nicest hostel we have ever stayed in. The rooms were super clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was soo close to the train station. Above all, the staff were amazing! They made breakfast for us each day, were so friendly and helpful, and gave us lots of good tips. Francesco in particular was amazing!!
Nothing - it was great!

Such a lovely welcome from Antonio and his brother. 2 mins walk from train station. Facilities were both excellent and spotlessly clean. Having spent 2 nights in hostels while walking the Cinque Terre, Antonio's place was by far the most friendliest and convenient to train station and city centre. Had one day in La Spezia and after strolling down the main busy thoroughfare, I found the marina with all its amazing yachts and settled there in a lovely little quiet cafe enjoying a glass of vino and some fabulous sunshine. Would definitely recommend backpackers city, a lovely funky and friendly hostel !!!!

Absolutely wonderful hostel with a great atmosphere! I felt at home right away. It's very close to the train station in Laz Spezia. Staff were all very nice and helpful. The hostel has a bar. The included breakfast is tasty and plentiful. The room and bathroom are modern.
At nighttime it got a bit chilly in the room even with the blankets.
That I didn't stay there for longer. :)

The hostel more than exceeded expectations. The hosts are extremely welcoming and make everyone feel at home and are full of recommendations and tips to best enjoy your vacation. The breakfast is quite good to start the day and the location is just perfect. A minute's away from La Spezia centrale and on the main road of the Historical centre. Additionally the hostel has a bar of its own and its perfect for the odd snack or to wind down with exceptionally priced Spritz. Really, you can't go wrong with this one.

Really nice hostel, clean, comfy and the owners and staff are super friendly and helpful, they give you great advices on what to see and the best way to do it. The location is quite ideal, the train station is 2 minutes away and the central area with restaurants and cafes is very close. The breakfast was also really good. Also, the terrace is beautiful, loved spending time there. Definitely recommend this place
