Perfect location with the most gracious hosts. Breakfasts were amazing … think French toast soufflé, yogurt fruit parfaits and homemade pastries. The bathroom was amazing with a fireplace and view to a waterfall going down the hill. Our Cottage also included a dining area, full kitchen, recliners and a four poster king bed. This is our new go to place in the Napa Valley.

Lynn and Gregg made this an amazing experience. They were so welcoming and professional- the accommodations were so beautifully decorated and clean, the breakfast was over the top. I would love to go back.
We had no complaints at all

The Room was spacious , clean, and comfortable . The in-room Breakfast was outstanding and a great way to start the day. The location is close to the town of Calistoga and close to other towns and wineries. We will plan to stay here again on our next trip .

If I could give Foothill House 6 stars out of 5 I would. It made or Napa vacation 10x better. The breakfast was SUPERB, and the room was quiet and felt secluded. Just a perfect spot. We will definitely be back.

Very clean and well maintained. The host and hostess are very attentive and very thoughtful of your comfort and privacy. The breakfast are a real treat and great way to kick start your daily adventures.
If looking for a view this would not be the place. Very private and nice spaces but no view of surrounding area.

Location for sure. The rooms and property are kept in beautiful presentations. There is art in and around the rooms, which are tastefully appointed. The breakfasts are, a beautiful work of art. The presentation is as if it’s a 5 star hotel. Plus the food is inventive and delicious. The coffee was just right; piping hot, well balanced and delicious.
Hard to say. We like slightly firm mattress and ours was on the soft size.

The property has lovely gardens and is beautifully maintained. The location and an assigned parking space made our stay super convenient. Management was so welcoming and always available. We were upgraded to a larger room upon arrival, the Castella, which is the size of large apartment with living space, a fireplace, kitchen, dining area, comfy king bed, reading nook, and whirlpool bath in the shower! There is also a private patio with a fountain and patio furniture for relaxing. A bottle of sparkling wine, cheese and crackers, and chocolates were compliments of the house. We enjoyed a full, delicious, homemade breakfast cooked on site and served hot each morning. We appreciated all the amenities provided daily including little tasty treats left for us after the room was freshened up every day. We highly recommend this B&B and are looking forward to our return in the Fall Harvest season!
The location is directly off a main road and there can be some traffic noise during the day, however, there is virtually no traffic noise at night for a restful sleep.

The Palisades room was delightful. The garden with all the flowers and water falls and the gazebo is beautiful in the day and even more gorgeous at night when the lights come on.
Nothing!

Excellent breakfast. Spacious.
Small but impressive details: e.g. multiple tissue boxes, multiple mini-bottles of water.
The bed, though comfortable, was a little too high for us — really had to climb in!

Just minutes from town, wineries, hiking trails and amazing restaurants, our stay in the charming cottage was absolute perfection. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, cozy nooks, fluffy towels, and luxurious bedding, every detail was thoughtfully curated to make us feel welcome. Each morning, we were treated to a home-cooked, delicious breakfast delivered right to our door. The hosts regularly left thoughtful treats - including wine and ample tea. They were incredibly kind and accommodating - treating us like family. This was, without a doubt, my favorite B&B experience ever.

Small, beautiful landscape. Although the room was clean and comfortable, the decor felt like it came from a thrift store and antique store. They did miss a few things. Dead battery in TV and Heater remotes. Never filled the hand soap dispenser in bathroom after we notified management. The lighters were out of fuel to light the duraflame log so they left a matchbook where the striker pad broke the match sticks.
I know these are a little picky but they are charging nearly $600 night.
The breakfasts they provided were over the top delicious. Each day was something different but it was a treat to open the basket of food each morning. I would come back but my wife thought the room decor was old and dated

It was perfect. Home made breakfast served on a beautiful patio looking out into the fairy garden with some mimosas and hot coffee. A hidden treasure in Calistoga/ Napa Valley area. Room was spacious and tastefully decorated. Very accommodating hosts. Will definately return and tell friends and family about.

Breakfast was included and brought to our door every morning... it was huge (by Napa Valley standards) and delicious! The Palisades cottage was spacious, well equipped, with a private sitting area. The bed was roomy (Cal-King) and so comfortable! The hummingbirds may greet you as they did us.
Nothing.

Arrived at Foothill House and welcomed by Gregg with a glass of wine and recommendations for the area. We stayed in the Castello room which was huge and spotlessly clean! It also has its own designated parking space and private patio area. Everything had been thought of by Gregg and Lynn with fresh flowers, sparkling wine in the fridge along with snacks, tea and coffee etc. Another nice touch is coming back ‘home’ each day to find chocolates and nibbles in our room but each day was always something different. On the last day we found two slices of delicious lemon cake!
As other guests have mentioned, the breakfasts are fabulous. Different each day with something savoury, sweet, hot and cold, juice and your choice of hot drink. The thought and effort put into the breakfasts by Lynn is second to none and delivered to your room at a prearranged time.
Re the region, we loved it for the four days we were here. Calistoga is quaint with many places to eat and drink and watch the world go by. On Saturday mornings there is a Farmers Market where we purchased some strawberries and then ate them at Old Faithful whilst watching the geyser erupt.
We booked a winery tasting which Lynn insisted on driving us to which was so thoughtful, we had planned to walk there but we enjoyed a casual walk back in the sunshine.
Going into town we rang the Calistoga shuttle service that picked us up at the end of the driveway and also brought us back to the same spot, all for $1 a ride - perfect!
On another night we ate at Calistoga Inn and then had beers and bingo at the Lincoln Avenue Brewery. Unfortunately we missed the shuttle ride back and so Gregg was very kind enough to come and collect us. Nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend this fabulous B&B.

Everything we could have thought about having in our room was provided. For example, popcorn 🍿, wine opener, bath salt, pillows galore (and they were clean), champagne with appropriate stemware, cozy preset breakfast in our room, incredible breakfast… delivered to our room and different each day. Water cold in the refrigerator, with space for the goodies I brought with us.
Hum…. Can’t think of anything 🤷♀️

My husband and I loved everything about this property. conveniently located with easy access to wineries and Main Street restaurants. The facility was super clean, quaint, relaxing, romantic all wrapped up into one. Every morning we started our day with an insanely delicious breakfast freshly prepared by Lynn and her family. The food is beyond delicious! Lynn, Gregg and their daughter have a big heart and desire to make their guests feel welcomed.
Everything about Potter’s Foothill House was fantastic and we cannot wait to return.
absolutely nothing:)

Foothill house with Lynn and Gregg was way beyond what my group and I could have expected. The pictures are accurate but until you get in the space, you can't imagine how special it really is. We had 3 couples and we each had our our room, but always seem to meet on the back lawn under the trees for drinks and conversation. We even used that space to do yoga one morning! The breakfast was better than any that we could have had in a restaurant. We had it delivered to our rooms the first day but afterwards, Lynn and Gregg accommodated us by setting up the table in the common room. I really could go on and on about the rooms as well. It was the PERFECT place to stay and we will return!!!!!
We loved everything. There are no negatives!!
