The WiFi crashed once - I’m nitpicking as that was the only issues we had the whole time we were there.

We would definitely recommend Tansy House. The place was clean, comfortable and a good size. We were very happy with our stay there. The tea and coffee was lovely. Parking for one car was extremely useful. Near to everything in York. Host was responsive and helpful.
The shower turned hot and cold frequently.
We hired a cot, but no bedding or towels were supplied for the child.

When me and my family walked in to the house first impressions were it was clean and after looking around it was big enough for all six of us. We loved the cinema room and watched a few films and the hamper with tea and coffee in was nice. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfy, the house had everything we needed for a two night stay. My children loved the ice machine and we used the popcorn machine once. Thought there was no where to store luggage downstairs but it wasn't until we were going to leave that we noticed a large cupboard in the kitchen that we could of used. It would of been nice to write something in the guest book but there was no room. Would definitely stay there again as my children's favourite things were the ice machine and the cinema room.
There was a sign saying about not going out after 11pm because of the neighbours but one night the neighbours were making noise coming home late. Just some recommendations I think that there should be a thick curtain up just before you walk into the cinema room as it was annoying when you were watching a film and someone comes down the stairs and the lights come on which shines on the projector screen. Also my parents who are in their 70's stayed with me and my children in the house and they had no where to really watch TV apart from sitting at the kitchen table as the sofa was positioned underneath the TV. My parents came down to the cinema room but we all thought there needed to be a rail on the side of the wall as it is hard to walk down the last lot of stairs to the cinema room as there was nothing to hold on to. Also the bathroom door bolt upstairs didn't lock and didn't know where there was extra toilet roll so had to be nosey (which I hate doing) but found some in a basket on the shelf in the upstairs bathroom.

Host/landlord stingy with heating control. As weatehr was cold, the house was very cold and we couldnt control the heating, as it was done remotely.
