Perfect location; be mindful of weekend nightclub noise

Communication was brilliant leading to our stay. Very clear instructions on how to access the keys and apartment as well as who to contact with any issues. When we arrived, the apartment was freezing cold with no hot water. We rang the number they provided and it was sorted straight away which we really appreciated. Perfect, central location for exploring York.

Sadly, there is a nightclub next to the apartment which means no sleep was had on the weekend. You could both hear and feel the music whilst laying in bed. I appreciate there isn't much to be done about this but wish I had read the other reviews as I would have chosen another location to avoid this issue.

Fine except for the noise.

The apartment was brilliant. Spacious and comfortable.

The proximity to a nightclub that was not mentioned unless you trawl through lots of tripadvisor reviews. We would absolutely stay again during the week but never again at the weekend. We got no sleep and given we were only there for one night, had a big impact on the enjoyability of our whole weekend.

Location great but needs some TLC

The location was perfect, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, the sofa bed was huge. Coffee machine with pods, tea, coffee and milk provided. Well equipped kitchen.

Apartment 2 - Parking costs £70 for 3 days! Hard on the pocket when we’d already paid £875! The outlook, looked onto walls with aircon units. The club playing music until 6:30 in the morning! The sofa with no legs; this made it too low which meant two of the adults couldn’t use it due to this. The floor was nailed and screwed down everywhere and often snagged our socks. 4 coat hangers for the whole apartment (6 adults). Two dining room chairs couldn’t be used due to unsteadiness, hubby tried to tighten them but threads were knackered. The toilet leading directly to the kitchen, often unpleasant when we were sat at the table and someone had needed to go! Lack of bin liners provided. One bin liner for 3 days with 6 adults, ridiculous. No recycling.

Well appointment apartments but watch out for the nightclub noise

Stayed at apartment 2 and 11 over the weekend. Both apartments were nicely presented and well laid out. The view from apartment 11 was superb across York. Great location for excellent restaurants and access to shopping.

We were not aware that there was a nightclub under the apartments, the loud music blasted out until 3am and then my friends in apartment 2 were further disturbed by the bottles being emptied into the recycling bin once the club had closed.

The apartment was large, spacious very near the centre of York well equipped and comfortable.

The nightclub outside the bedroom windows made sleeping really difficult until 3 am.

There was an awful smell in the bathroom for the entire stay. Like sulphur or sewage gas. Very unpleasant, to the point that nobody wanted to have a shower.

The apartments are above a nightclub -- I've never had a worse night's sleep

The location is terrific

The nightclub behind the buildings. It was excessively loud, between 10.30pm and 3am, and we didn't sleep. Disruptive for the kids, and I couldn't recommend this property to others with young ones.

Bed could have been comfier. There is a large (very popular) nightclub in the adjacent building. Amazingly we couldn't hear a sound from the club. However there was a large queue of people right outside the bedroom windows until around 1AM. As you can imagine they weren't the quietest.

Amazing. Would recommend!

The hosts were super flexible and friendly. We had some confusion about how to get in and they sorted it out straight away - immediately responsive. The location was excellent - 5-10 minutes away from everywhere important in the town centre. The apartment had everything you needed - modern appliances and amenities and coffee and biscuits and two TVs and river view. We needed a late checkout and the hosts were so kind and accommodating!

The sofa bed could use a little de staining but nothing major. I was still comfortable and the instructions were clear. The overall cleanliness and standard of the apartment was high and pristine.

Nice apartments

We stayed in 2 apartments 3 and 9. I have to say they were fab, clean throughout, tea, coffee, and sugar fab touch. Location is fab in centre. Highly recommend. Would defo go back

Few days in York

Had a great time in York, the apartment was great very spacious and the balcony was ideal to soak up the sun. The location is very central a short walk to all the attractions, so many great restaurants to sample.

Not good for families

Clean

Awful experience avoid if you've got children. This is a nice apartment but we were just so annoyed by the time we left that it completely overshadowed any of it. We arrived at 3pm to cleaners still in our room completely unaware that we were arriving. We were instantly made to feel like we had done something wrong when we kept being asked for our information by the cleaner so we just said we would come back in an hour. Outside we then saw the landlord who thrust some money at me to get a coffee and come back. Nice of him but less than apologetic really and just made up an excuse about being busy. Not really our fault? Really unprofessional. Then we get to the night sleep. The sofa bed literally has bars you can feel in it so uncomfortable to sleep on. We were in apartment 9 and the music from the night club was so loud all night that I'm amazed my kids didn't wake up aswell as people screaming from the smoking area. When you list you're with children surely the host could put you in a room a bit further away from this as it was just constant and this was on a Wednesday night till 3am. All for people having a good time but could literally hear every song word for word. Not good when you've paid nearly £210 for one night! Stuffy as others have mentioned but you'd have absolutely no chance of opening a window due to the noise. It just felt like it was one thing after another which unfortunately meant we completely disregarded the fact that this is a nice modern apartment.

Enjoyed the whole stay apart from the 2 negative points stated in my feedback

The apartment was really modern and clean. All facilities needed were there for us to use. Using the code and locker to get the keys was simple but I thought was an excellent way of checking in. Checking was simple too. It was next to riverside and by all the main pubs and bars. Didn’t have far to walk at all.

There were 2 things we didn’t like. 1. Was no aircon. 2. We were next to a nightclub and because it was so hot the windows had to be left open so it was really noisy till 3am in the morning. The funny thing was the rules for the apartment is that you had to be quiet after midnight. If aircon was in the apartment then the windows would been closed and the noise from the nightclub wouldn’t have been so bad.

Great location

Very well located, easy to find apartment. Layout was great and it had a great terrace that gets sun throughout the day. It’s a very light and bright place. It’s right in the city centre so very easy to get around. They provide tea/ coffee and some bottled water which is a nice touch.

It’s quite a hot apartment and it’s possible to air it during the day, but the evening bars/ clubs run pretty loud into the early hours so you need to close off all the windows. This makes it quite uncomfortable to sleep.

Lovely and clean apartment in convenient location with great staff communication.

Apartment was very nice and SO clean. Looks perhaps newly renovated? Convenient distance from the train station as well as shopping / city center areas. Property provided above average communication before check-in, regarding confirmation of reservation and through check-in instructions.

We had the ground floor apartment and the streets are quite busy with foot traffic. So we had to keep all window shades closed and it was rather noisy in the early evening. I imagine this is only an issue for the ground floor unit of the building.

Excellent location, efficient check-in. Limited time for outside parking.

Efficient lock box type check-in (Good set up for a group as there was only 1 key). Excellent location. Clean with good facilities as the dishwasher is essential when in groups.

Paid parking is only available for 1 hour (max stay) directly outside of the accommodation (although it is free 8pm-8am) .. for me it is an inconvenience but for some it might not be.
