Beautiful home in an outstanding location

The building is only a few steps from the Minster yard; can't really get much more central than this. We found the house to be quiet at night despite the very central location. The rooms and kitchen are well appointed and tastefully decorated; our party of eight, with two small children, were very comfortable during our stay. We had an excellent time, loved the house, and would be glad for a chance to come again.

Spot on Property, spot on location

Location was perfect, in the heart of York with views of York Minster Property was extremely spacious over 3 floors and fully equipped as we were able to easily cook a full roast dinner for 6 people on New Year's Day. The secondary glazing helped reduce outside noise

There wasn't anything we didn't like, I think the number of stairs is something anyone with mobility issues have to be aware of and some of us felt the mattresses were a bit hard but this is personal choice. The wifi isn't the strongest but coped with using just mobile phones. Overall a great property!!!

The location provided the optimal opportunity to maximise our stay as we were able to walk to any of the main attractions in York within 10 minutes. It was clean, very comfortable and slightly quirky, lots of character, and lovely furnishings. The bedrooms were very roomy and airy with an amazing view from every window, including the bathroom!

The stairs were tough but worth it for the location and adds to the character.

Lovely, central property but ....

Great location. Property well equipped and clean.

Accommodation is over 3 floors with kitchen on second floor. Narrow stairs to get to property on first floor and narrow stairs between floors. Accessible shower is on top floor so not appropriate for anyone with mobility issues. Kitchen not large enough to eat in for number of beds. Therefore food/drinks have to be carried down a set of stairs to dining area....not ideal. None of the above is obvious from the description of the property.

Wonderfully central stay

The location is perfect. Walking distance from the train station and right in the heart of the city centre. Little homely touches throughout. Communication was spot on. Every guest commented on how beautiful the rooms were - especially the drapes!

Some of the party found the stairs tricky after 3 days, I thought they added to the charm and character but future guests need to be mindful of the fact this property is over the top 3 floors of a 4 storey building. My only niggle was how hard the mattress was but I know this is totally a personal preference. Wished check out was 10:30 or even 11 - basically we loved it so much that we didn't want to leave!

A very comfortable and well located house. Would definitely recommend!

The location was absolutely ideal for our stay in York. Walking distance to everything and a great view of Yorkminster. The addition of soundproofing to the windows was a great touch and meant we could sleep peacefully at night but open the windows during the day to enjoy the buskers too.

The stairs were steep and precarious in places but you do adjust after a day or two!

Great location. Good accommodation for 6 people in our family. Large comfortable living room. Well equipped kitchen.

The stairs were a killer! Having the kitchen on a different floor from the dining room,with very limited seating in the kitchen was inconvenient. A queen bed instead of double would be better.
