Lush Accomdation

The apartments are clean tidy and location is walking distance to all of York . Kitchen area so can cook food rather than eat out all the time .

Long stay , but vlose the the road and woken up once or twice with sirens but didnt put me off staying here again

Fantastic

The apartment was lovely, great communication with the host. I was pleasantly surprised that tea, coffee, sugar and milk were available when arriving and they were a welcome sight after a long day of travelling with a toddler. The apartment was easy to get to, with multiple grocery stores within a 10 minute walk and the Monk Bar Gate just around the corner and the city walls at your front door.

Bathroom door was difficult to close, but we managed and doesn't deter us coming back.

Monkbar Mews is in an excellent location within walking distance to all the main attractions. An ideal base for exploring York. Clean well equipped a home from home. This is our 4th stay here. Stayed in 8b this time and wasn’t disappointed. Will definitely return.

The heating was on the first evening and I managed to get in to come on the following day. The last night it didn’t come on. It was milder so maybe why it didn’t come on but could have done with having it on for an hour. Not a huge issue and I am sure John would have assisted if I’d contacted him. Please note if you are parking just to drop off you are allowed to 15 minutes, which were told. We were ok when we dropped off but upon leaving/packing up we inadvertently went over the time by 3 mins. Had to pay £60. Not the fault of Monkbar Mews I must stress.

Perfect location, for an amazing weekend in York.

The apartment was clean well stocked with everything we needed. On such a cold night the heating was on when we arrived.

I booked a party of 9 so had to choose two apartment, I was very disappointed that I wasn’t told the apartment were next to each other and it was a walk on the Main Street to get to the second apartment. Due to the cold weather this morning (snow fall) none of the court yard was gritted, so it was very slippery when we tried to load the cars

Such a nice place and well worth the money!

Amazing place to stay! Me and 2 friends stayed for 2 nights, and can’t fault the apartment at all. We were in number 7, it was so cozy and warm and very clean. We also loved the fact that it was only a short walk to the centre, around 5 minutes! When we arrived we ran into a man called Tyler who worked with these apartments, and he was so lovely and very helpful. Amazing for the price we paid. We definitely recommend and will be coming back!!

The property was dirty on arrival The hall runner and landing carpet were dirty; there was rubbish left on both floors, in a bedroom and in the toilets clearly not cleaned properly.

Very good location

Apartment was in a very good location, we were in close walking distance of the town. Clean and tidy space overall, no issues found. Well-equipped apartment, had mostly everything that we needed for our couple of days in York. Directions given were good to allow us easy access to the car parks nearby and the apartment itself. Communication was good too, ensuring we had all the info we needed before our arrival.

Perfect location, clean and comfortable.

The sliding bathroom door in upstairs bathroom was broken. Not a big problem but just making you aware. Also of you had somewhere to store luggage on last day would be helpful.

Very Attractive Accommodation

We stayed in Apartment 5, very easy to access on arrival and everything had been provided for, lots of towels, some toiletries, complimentary milk, tea and coffee, and a kitchen well stocked with all the utensils you would need as well as washing up liquid, tea towel and dishwasher soap. Very clean and presentable. Both bedrooms (each with a king size bed) were very quiet at night. It was a few minutes walk to the city centre. We had a wheelchair and found it very accessible too, all the rooms were on the ground floor.

The bathroom door kept jamming, the corner settee wasn't very comfortable for all of us to sit on together, it was very low down and didn't feel supportive or level throughout.

We have stayed here three out of the last four years and have always enjoyed our stay. It's a great location and the rooms and facilities are very good.

The place is in need of some maintenance and cleaning. There are electrical sockets on the wall which have come loose, our bathroom shower had mould around the drain and the water was backing up in the shower. There is a lot of dust and food etc under the sofas in the living room and the sofas themselves have seen better days.

Pleasant stay in 2-bedroom attic apartment

The bed linen was lovely, fresh towels and shower gel and very comfortable beds. The kitchen was fully equipped.

The photos were misleading as we thought we were getting the apartment in the photos. We were in an attic apartment and the photos were around 78 out of 105 photos. The ceiling sloped in so you had to lean over a fair bit, especially when preparing food and making coffee & tea. The sofa was very uncomfortable and the carpet was dirty.

Brilliant location, nicely furnished, good facilities

Upstairs rooms would not suit tall people because of low sloping ceilings. The noise from neighbouring pub ( until 1.30am on Sat night) is a definite problem if you want to sleep with even very slightly open window.

The apartment was too warm. We could not open the bedroom windows in every room. Made it very uncomfortable to sleep at night Very tried all week. We had fans in every room but not powerful enough.i would go back to the apartment in winter time.
