This lovely home stay is located few feet away the South sea beach, and you can find shops nearby. You can feel positivity everywhere in this house. A really good place to be in, specially to stay with your family. There are many book collection that you can read in here. For kids, they have arranged many play items, my son didnot want to vacate at all..lol.Thank you for the wonderful stay Richard and Kate.

Basic small clean accommodation

We appreciated the off road parking. Overall clean, good location. Lots of games and dvds to choose from if needed.

It felt very small. Double bed was tiny for 2 adults so we slept on the singles in the front room. Very basic kitchen but functional. It is in the basement so lacked light and airflow. Lacked comfort. However it was less money than others in the area so you get what you pay for.

I don't really understand some of the comments in previous reviews.....we had a great stay at Kenilworth road with Richard! The pictures don't do it justice. The garden out at the back of the kitchen is lovely, the kitchen itself has ample space with all the appliances one needs and room to prepare a meal. The bedroom is spacious, bed is comfy. the sofa bed in the sitting room was very comfy also. The bathroom is small but more importantly the shower is good and plenty of hot water. Books and games and Netflix etc in the living room. A handy entrance porch and a free parking space that is rare in Portsmouth. The owner left us a message on booking.com to ask for toiletries and kitchen basics, tea, coffee and milk if we ran out which is a nice touch. We stayed for four nights. Location is perfect for visiting things locally and easy access to the motorway for Chichester or Southampton etc...we would def stay again if we return to Portsmouth.

When you need to upgrade the bed, get a king size, my husband and I are both very tall so it was cozy in a Queen size. Same goes for the towels, bit bigger if poss. Also a blackout blind in the front room, with sunrise at 4.30am it get very light very early in the living room.

Comfy bed, close to seafront and bus route to Portsmouth Town. Good social space, living room and outside area. Quiet. Parking for a small car. Shop close by. Convenient.

Bathroom very compact but OK for us kitchen has breakfast bar but small. If sunny great outside table to use instead

excellent location but tired apartment.

The location was excellent

It was very tired and not very clean. Bedroom carpet is filthy and old, bathroom is very tired, all kitchen equipment needed to be cleaned before use and drainer should be binned as its furry.

Cosy stay.

Accommodation was clean and tidy. Great parking and instructions. Location was good for us and fairly central. We would definitely book here again, if and when we return to Portsmouth. Hosts weren't onsite, but any assistance was available if we had any questions. Thanks for your hospitality.

Only very slight grumble was kitchen utilities were a bit lacking if you're planning on cooking. It's a very minor grumble though, & we managed to cook basics.

Lovely stay!

Very clean and cozy flat. Everything you need is pretty much provided and the host paid extra attention to also providing instructions and guidance on how to get into the flat and use various appliances within it. The flat also comes with a parking lot which is a big plus. The location is also convenient being located between the beach and the high street with both being a walkable distance. There is also a bus stop right outside the flat which takes you to center of Portsmouth.

Very noisy upstairs neighbours (understandably that’s outside of the host’s control and has to do with the buildings structure but worth noting if you are sensitive to that!)

lovely place for a short family stay :)

we had a lovely stay, the property was clean and perfect for us as a little family. Good value for money. spot on location to all facilities including sea front.

the only issue we had was parking being quite cramped as we had a lot of luggage and prams etc but easy to get around. would recommend this place.

Ok for a couple

The patio at the back made all the difference. The fact there was washing up liquid, a bit of kitchen roll, salt and a few other basics.

There was old food left in the fridge,nor was the kitchen super clean I had to wipe grease off the hob and tiles. the kitchen was minute , luckily we we were only 2 so could use the breakfast bar to eat when it was raining. More than 2 people would find it difficult. One old frying pan and two small saucepans, only 2 rings and a microwave so only very very basic cooking possible. A strange distribution of space, no tv in the front room only the bedroom which meant we barely used it. It was not expensive so would return as price quality was acceptable, just wish we had had a better idea of layout and the very minimalist kitchen.
