Lakeland Village

Beautiful location right by the river, ideal for exploring the southern end of the Lakes, although also drove up to Thirlmere which took about an hour. Property well equipped.

Everything was perfect. One of the best, if not the best, places I’ve stayed in. Great location just south of Windermere. Our 1 year old loved watched the steam train go by, the river flowing and the canoes! Property was immaculate, comfy beds, warm and all the facilities we needed. I, without any doubt, will be staying here again.

So spotlessly clean and well equipped, they had obviously thought hard to provide everything you could possibly need.

Location was good for us

After we paid for a 2 bedroomed cottage , we were informed that it was no longer available and we were down graded. Had a riverside cottage but could not see the river due to all the foliage and there was riverbank work carried out so there was a huge orange tarpaulin along the bank which ruined the whole effect. And we had an awful buzzing sound by the door and nobody responded to any of our requests for help, which kept us awake most of the night.
