Good atmosphere, great food with a range of choices, ovely roaring fire after a days walking. Comfortable room, good size and good breakfast
Dogs barking late night/early morning from the room next door, bed too soft for our preference, hoovering part of the restaurant area during breakfast (b'fast doesnt start till 8.30) could this be done before, poached egg was hard for both of us

Great location, clean and well equipped. Especially the fact it had a hot tub...the main reason we booked.
We've stayed here earlier in the year as it had a hot tub we could enjoy after a long day fell walking. Sadly the hot tub was only just turned on before our arrival so couldn't be used on the first day of our visit.....this was a repeat of what happened during our visit in February but that time we were told the hot tub was faulty. I've since read back past reviews and seen others where the hot tub was cold upon arrival
I have to add here that we didn't complain this time when finding the hot tub cold as there's not much you can expect to be done about it, so we just lived with the disappointment.
