All the staff from the bar to the restaurant and at breakfast were very friendly, available and very welcoming, the room was superbly clean and the bed was super extra comfortable, the position of the location is perfect and with a private car park, food is also very good.

We were in the Old Man room cottage bed was really uncomfortable mattress to hard
Bathroom window doesn't have frosted glass so had to close the blinds to shower or use the loo
Only 1 towel for 2 guests

The location was great, the room was quiet and with very comfortable bed. Everywhere was very clean. The staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was really good and plentiful.

The location is great, centre of Coniston. Very clean. Staff friendly.
The bed and pillow were very hard. No toiletries in bathroom. No hairdryer although this was resolved on the second day. Ground floor room with no net curtains so blinds had to be drawn fully all the time to maintain privacy. Noisy in the mornings as our room was near the bins. The room was very expensive and not value for money.
