I really enjoyed staying there the bungalow I had was right with ocean view

We loved the bungalows over the sea, to see the fish right off the deck in the morning was amazing. They were upfront and honest about the distance to town and the stairs to get there. It is not a 5 star resort, it is a super cute and charming bungalow over the water. We loved it and knew what to expect. It is definitely an experience

The location to town was a little far, but we were aware of that when we booked. A taxi there or back was 400-500thb, that’s not their fault but that was a downside.

Highly recommend!

Very good price for the location, all the other resorts on this beach are 400$+ a night and this was 80$. Beautiful room, very comfy, air conditioning was good, fridge was very handy to have. Not close to many other bungalows so lots of privacy. The restaurant attached to the resort is very good, yummy food for a good price. The beach was gorgeous! We saw sea turtles every day by snorkeling off shore.

If you have bad knees or are old/have small kids this may not be the best place for you. There are a lot of steep stairs and ramps getting from the main road area to the check in, and then again where our room was we had to climb a lot of stairs to get up. So def keep in mind you need to be in good shape and steady on your feet to stay here. The other thing was no hot water but it wasn’t a big deal since most of the time we were so hot and sweaty it felt refreshing.

Beautiful location, not suitable for people who struggle with stairs. Booking a bike or taxi is needed to get into the main bit of town as it’s located on a bit of a bay

Don't stay long and have transport

Stayed 2 weeks...too long as we didn't hire a motorbike because roads outside resort so steep and treacherous...very confined to Rocky's for eating....high prices, small portions...very poor menu...water very expensive...80 baht per bottle...they also charge for ice! Poor Internet in room...felt like we were being fleeced.

Great location right on the beach to shark bay, very pretty scenery and a very nice restaurant on site.

Quite hard to get to/from other areas as it is quite out of the way, beds were a bit uncomfortable.

Location is really good for the sea life you can see in this bay. Staying here saved us from paying 100baht to go on the beach. Restaurant gave you small discount for staying there.

Hotel only takes cash, and you have to go into the city to get more cash. Rooms only had fans and the rooms baked in the sun—fan on or not. Rooms were not beautiful but got the job done—good room for the price. They have a sign for currency exchange but they don’t do currency exchange. Have to take steep stairs down to get to hotel (hard with big luggage to go back up). Hotel does not change your towels or bed sheets everyday, and they give you one set of towels (annoying for 2 people), but we asked for extra towels for the beach and they gave us some!

Beautiful beach view and comfortable beds

Rooms full of bugs, the staff did not seem to keep track of food orders. Each time I ordered food I payed before I sat down, upon check out they made me pay an extra 470 bhat claiming I did not pay, showing me my orders as “proof” yet each time I certainly did pay. Not sure if scammers or simply miscommunication among staff

Stunning location on the water. Simple but comfortable.

Hands down location. Right on the water of shark bay, from balcony you look down into the water in our bungalow. Pretty easy access to the water. Quiet. Room simple but comfortable. Beds where good. Friendly staff and good affordable food. Had mask and snorkle for rent (80-100b a day). Snorkle on east side of the bay in the shallow, saw sharks with each time we snorkled and once a turtle more in the deep.

Access very steep stairs, you have to walk down like 120m total distance. Was fine for us though. No mosquito nets.

Magical

The location was absolutely amazing! We were on stilts out over the water on a flatwater day, and we watch a baby shark and needle nose fish hunt just in front of us; it was so beautiful and amazing.

There are a lot of mosquitos, but it was absolutely worth it.

Shark bay does have sharks you can swim with

You have to pay to use the beach. Under Thai law you shouldnt but its up to you to fight the security. Steep steps and hills to get in or out of the hotel. Restaurant poor, always runs out of ingredients too.

unless you want to experience post apocalyptic scenes do not stay here!!

The location is challenging to get to but great once you’re there. the Shark bar was good but not suitable for children!!

On arrival we were shown a bungalow that was almost uninhabitable-we asked to change rooms. that room was cleaned but within an hour or so was full of ants again. our children’s room was ok but very hot and filled with mosquitos when you opened the small window-we had to ask for a mosquito net. the electric lights in the bathroom were very dodgy. all around the resort it was derelict-bungalows falling down or being knocked down, broken paths, old mattresses lying around. The restaurant was bare and unwelcoming. After a very worrying and uncomfortable night we promptly left first thing in the morning even though we had booked for 5 nights.

Glad we stayed, really enjoyed it but glad it wasnt for too long

The view was stunning and the beach was at the bottom of the stairs to the resort, very nice restaurant at the resort very nice staff. Really enjoyed it over all. The resort rent out snorkelling stuff and that was cool.

It was abit far from other things on the island, with alot of people renting mopeds taxis were expensive. It was very hilly to walk anywhere. The room had alot of bugs in it and the shower was poor. Wifi was very crap also. Good value for money

O alojamento precisa de renovação, nem falo do facto de não terem ar condicionado. Falo do cheiro a esgoto que se sente na habitação proveniente do wc que é de facto o pior do alojamento, desde a canalização inexistente do lavatório uma vez que a água proveniente dele sai no chão junto à sanita e está cheio de pequenas larvas de inseto.

Le personnel tres sympa et chambres ont de superbe vue sur la bay !

Les salles de bains n’était pas très propre, dans la chambre supplémentaire que nous avons pris le dernier soir, l’évacuation du lavabo nous coulait directement sur les pieds. Et en plus il n’y avait ni climatisation, ni eau chaude (pas de chauffe eau du tout). L’endroit est sympa mais il y a des restes de chantier et des chambres laissés à l’abandon, c’est dommage.

Parfait

Tout était parfait, un lieu reposant, un super accueil familial, très agréable cuisine, accès gratuit à la plus belle plage de Ko Tao. Les bungalow, bien équipés ( frigo micro-ondes clim..)perchés sur la colline permettent une vue exceptionnelle. Pas d’eau chaude, mais il fait très chaud donc on s’en passe sans problème . Il faut juste ne pas avoir de problème de mobilité car plein de marches (île très vallonnée)

Vue mer exceptionnel. Emplacement privilégié avec accès direct à une plage, idéal pour le snorkeling.

Un scooter est nécessaire car éloigné du centre ville. Manque cruellement d’équipement : un frigo ou une simple couette (seul un petit plaid est fourni). La salle de bain n’est pas fonctionnel et il n’y a pas d’eau chaude (nous sommes prévenus avant d’arriver à l’hôtel) Des contrôles répétitifs à l’entrée à cause de l’accès commun avec un resort de luxe. Pas de wifi dans les chambres.

Prezzo basso, vista spettacolare, camera grande e bagno pulito e perfettamente funzionante. Assolutamente consigliato. È possibile mangiare nel ristorante accanto (seppur sia abbastanza costoso), noleggiare attrezzatura da snorkeling e arrivare nuotando alla spiaggia. Addormentarsi con il rumore delle onde non ha prezzo.

Per arrivare all'appartamento c'è una discesa abbastanza ripida ma molto breve. Non è stato un problema per noi ma è giusto esserne consapevoli.

Bungalow sul mare...relax

Posizione fantastica, relax, silenzio, brezza marina, accoglienza e cibo ottimo della famiglia che lo gestisce. Camera quadrupla spaziosa, pulita e direttamente sul mare! Accesso sulla spiaggia bellissima di Shark Bay, mai affollata e bella per snorkeling

Non c'è acqua calda nella struttura e non ti puliscono la stanza giornalmente , per un soggiorno lungo può essere un problema

Teleurstellend, niet schoon, niet eerlijk geweest over de situatie/faciliteiten..

Locatie was opzich goed, prachtig uitzicht op zee

We hadden in eerste instantie een kamer met airco geboekt (aangevinkt hij booking.com) en we kregen een kamer zonder airco, met een waaier, was echt te warm in de kamer. Ook was er geen kledingkast zoals beschreven bij faciliteiten. Bij aankomst deed het water van de douche en wc het niet en later hadden we alleen koud water met een minimale druk, kwam nagenoeg geen water uit de douche.. Bij aankomst kregen we te zien dat er een huisje voor ons huisje compleet verbouwt werd en het een behoorlijke bende was. Erg jammer van het mooie uitzicht op zee. Ook was de douche ruimte niet erg schoon, haren in het putje etc etc..

Lohnt sich selbst für das Geld nicht

Die Lage ist im ersten Moment schön jedoch total ab von allem, nur mit teurem Taxi oder Motorbike ist man mobile. Untertags kommen total viele Schnorchel und Tauchschiffe, daher kann man sich die Lage auch sparen! Es wurde an allem gespart in der Unterkunft bis hin zu einem Abflussrohr fürs Waschbecken, es fliest einfach ins Bad, daher ist dies dauerhaft nass und grausig. Die Unterkunft wirkt alt und heruntergekommen. Essen im Restaurant ist basic, Portionen sehr wenig, dafür teuer. Wir fühlten uns nicht sehr willkommen. Man wurde zu Beginn darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass jeder Fleck im Zimmer verrechnet wird… nicht sehr einladend.

Vistas sí, bichos no.

Las vistas, estás justo en la playa, incluso tiene un acceso privado que al bajar las escaleras estas justo en la playa Shark bay. El precio, económico.

Pues... los insectos, el acceso y los ruidos de un pájaro que estuvo todas las noches cada 20 min haciendo ruidos fuertes y raros.La verdad que el personal mandó un mensaje el día anterior avisando de que podía haber insectos en el bungalow ya que está en medio de la naturaleza. Pero en ese bungalow se me colaron todo tipo de insectos y a mi no me gustan nada, así que imaginaos el panorama. Lo pase mal para dormir pensando en si me iba a despertar con bichos o si alguno se venia a la cama conmigo la verdad. El acceso es horrible, muchas rampas y escaleras que de buena mañana ya te hacen sudar y quedarte sin aire. Ahora eso sí, si eres fan de la naturaleza y no tienes problemas con los bichos... este es el sitio perfecto! Para mi, no volvería a repetir, pero insisto, es naturaleza y es normal que hayan bichos, si no te importa que se cuelen y no tienes problemas con los ruidos por la noche pues genial!
