Charming large apartment in need of renovation

The apartment is huge and there was lots of space for two families. The two showers and two toilets are a bonus. It's close to the train station if you want to take day trips and it's also fairly close to the old town and the Promenade. It's also close to the Tram 2 which takes you straight to the airport.

The apartment is old and in need of some basic renovations. For example interior door handles are falling off, floor tiles are loose and missing, and kitchen shelves almost breaking. For a booking for 8 people for one week we were only provided with one washing tab for the dishwasher, one trash bag, two rolls of toilet paper and no basics like oil in the kitchen. For the price paid these basics should be included. There is no balcony furniture to enjoy being outside. The tram and street noise is quite a lot. We were there when it was cool enough to have the windows closed most of the time but in warmer months it would be a problem. We had to collect the keys at a rental office. It's not far down the street but it is indeed an unexpected layer of hassle I'm not used to with AirBnB for example. A large 800euro deposit was required and this included extensive emails from the contracted insurance company which caused a lot of confusion as well as a feeling that we were going to be scammed for our money. Overall the rental process for the apartment could be streamlined and improved.

Great location for a city break

The apartment worked well for us with bedrooms at either end. The height of the ceilings amplified the feeling of space.the central location was excellent. The proximity of the railway station enabled half day excursions along the cote d'aziur

As others have commented, one shower room (the one without a toilet) does not smell very fresh. The trams are a bit noisy but that's OK given the advantagecof having them on your doorstep. In places the apartment looks a bit tired.

Exceptional

This is our 2.nd stay in this autentic frence Beautiful appartment - and we love this place. The tram from the airport stops 300 meter away and we have walking distance to everything. Yes its a little noisy in the night - but no more than expected when you live downtown. The trainstation is 500 meter away, it will give you a Beautiful ride to Monaco or antibes and Cannes. This appartment is excellent for 2 families or a group of up to 8 persons - If you enjoy an classic decorated big frence appartment instead of a new modern unpersonal appartment. We have already booked this appartment next year again.
