One of a Kind!

What an absolute gem! This is undoubtedly one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. It feels more like a farm/home than a hostel. The property is beautiful and the garden nearby is perfect for walks, especially at sunset. Hostel itself has outstanding staff, a delicious breakfast, and is very clean.

Things are a little bit of a walk but the tradeoff is worth it.

Lovely stay

Very nice breakfast. Very friendly staff. Kitchen that you can use to eat and cook . Some supermarkets not far by walk. Nice restaurant in the village nearby or a bit further called trattoria della nonna. I slept in the dormitory and it was very quite. Beds are very comfortable. It’s a agriturismo where they make honey and cultivate vegetables. Very green lovely area.

No little separation or curtains between the beds in the dormitory. Nothing to do with the hotel but don’t forget to take something that can make some light with you if you go by walk late because the roads around are quite dark at night and people drive very fast not really paying attention to pedestrians safety.

I won't come back here, but some people might like it

The room was clean and nice. We received bonus to see the gardens nearby which we used. It was not easy to get to the hotel since we weren't sure how to get to it with a car. Anytime I wanted to ask something at the reception there was nobody there. Anyway, we had good sleep and we left quickly,

The breakfast was very bad. I wouldn't even call it that way. It is far away from the city center, but it was affordable and we reserved late.

A truly incredible stay at Agriturismo La Derta. I would recommend this to everybody

This place is amazing. I was in the shared accommodation as a solo female traveller and I felt very safe and welcomed. The breakfast was delicious, homegrown and homemade. The rooms and facilities were very clean and had everything I needed. The nature and surrounds of the hostel were gorgeous and I could have stayed so much longer if I was able to. About 20 minutes walk from the centre of Bellagio but walking through the Melzi gardens (free entry included with stay) was incredible. Even the walk without going through the gardens was amazing. I would definitely stay here again if I ever get the pleasure to!

Amazing ♡

The place is in a really-really beautiful environment, it's peaceful, quiet, relaxing. Vegetalbe gardens, trees, flowers everywhere. The staff is truly kind and helpful. I slept in the dorm with other people, it was spacious, properly cooled, clean and comfy. Breakfast was delicious, they serve their own products, which are amazing. The nearest bus stop is just around the corner and there's a ferry station nearby (San Giovanni). The beach is also very close by walk. You can find a bar and a cafe nearby. As the apartment's guest, you can visit the garden of Villa Menzi for free, which is truly spectacular.

There is no mosquito net on the windows, so some flies came in an disturbed my sleep a bit at night.

Gorgeous property, yummy breakfast

The most amazing stay! The farm was absolutely gorgeous and shared dorms were clean and tidy. The breakfast made from farm produce every morning was unreal! By far the best breakfast I’ve had at any accommodation! Great location, helpful staff and the most adorable dogs running around the place! I could had spent my whole time in Como on the property, highly recommend!! Also got access into villa nearby which was beautiful!

The location is great - it's a 20 min walk from Bellagio. The walk might get lonely after sunset but it is a nice getaway from all the touristy and busy areas. The rooms were clean and the property itself is beautiful. The breakfast is AMAZING and locally sourced- I had read about it being good but it still exceeded my expectations. The staff are very friendly and helpful and they also have two pet dogs. I requested for early breakfast as I was leaving early and was able to get it. This was one of the budget friendly options in Bellagio and its a great value for the price !! There were other solo and group travelers too. Added plus is the free access to the Melzi gardens that are amazingly beautiful. The whole experience of staying here made Bellagio much more memorable for me. I loved my stay here and I highly recommend this place to anyone planning to stay in Bellagio. It is ideal for solo travelers.

The beds were a bit close and could be a bit further away. The bathrooms were generally clean but one of the bathrooms had a weird smell when I arrived so we just used the other two. In the upper floor of the beds, the floor creaks quite a bit when you walk so that may be disturbing if someone is sleeping. Despite this, it was still an amazing experience overall.

Great place in Bellagio

After having a disaster with previous hostel booking in Como, this one changed my mind again about the Lake Como and Italy. Really great place in great location, staff was polite, decent price for a hostel and clean. They agreed for me to check-in early, which was really convinient to leave my baggage and the free entry to the gardens is really beneficial as these were great. Thank you Agriturismo La Derta.

Amazing!

We had a lovely week at Bellagio. Staying at La Derta greatly contributed to our week being lovely. The staff is kind and helpfull, the location is perfect, at 5 minutes from San Giovanni and 10 minutes from Bellagio by foot. Our room was big, very clean and quiet. Grazie mille!

Wonderful, I recommend without hesitation

Truly a magical place. The staff are so nice. The facilities are clean. All the other guests were very kind and I made some new friends. It was wonderful to be around nature and animals. And as a bonus, it's not far from the city center and VERY close to a little beach and the Melzi Gardens (which you can enter for FREE just by staying here). I couldn't recommend this place more!

Beautiful place, nice location, friendly hosts, home-feeling, cozy rooms, homemade stuffs for breakfast

Our room was next to the house’s kitchen and the breakfast preparation of the staff woke me up at 5:30am every morning due to the insufficient sound-proofing. The breakfast on one hand was amazing with the homemade jams and cakes but on the otherhand I really missed vegetables: toast and cheese are a bit poor for breakfast without any veggies on the side.

Cozy and calm Agriturismo!

Coziness and friendliness of the stuff! It’s a fantastic place to visit Bellagio, out of the overcrowded center and very calm. If you’re looking for a place to visit Lake Como, I deeply recommend! Also, they give you free pass to Gardine di Villa Melzi, magic spot (got engaged there) 😁 On top of that, there’s 2 cute dogs (Suzie and Nocce) that are always happy to see you and coming for pets (loved that as I’m pet owner myself)

This is a place you can go to rest and relax. You can chill outside on the chairs or lay on the grass. I really enjoyed the chill vibes of this place. I liked that we got free access to the gardens which made the walk to the village nice. I wanted to rebook this place because I liked it so much! Free breaky was nice too, and staff were friendly.

Walls aren’t really soundproof — if you are a little unlucky like we were and have loud neighbours, your stay may not be as peaceful as you had hoped for.

Was such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay! The hosts were so lovely and the breakfast they provided was great. The hostel room was also very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Bellissimo bellagio stay!

We absolutely loved our 3 night stay in Bellagio! The staff of this property were super helpful, outgoing and always happy to lend a hand! The breakfasts were a great way to start the day, and the location of the property was in walking distance of the main centre of Bellagio. We can’t forget to mention how beautiful the rooms were, and how clean and tidy the entire property was! Couldn’t fault our stay 10/10, and very keen to come back!

Distance from Bellagio ferry stop was about 15 minutes, which is a lovely walk. however some may struggle with large suitcases. There is also a bus available but timing is sometimes tricky. Not a fault of the property but useful information to know!

This place was amazing! Set a little way from bellagio main town this spot is so peaceful and beautiful! The grounds are gorgeous and the staff were incredibly friendly. There are 3 resident dogs which are super cute too. The room was incredibly comfortable and clean with lovely views of the garden. There wasn't AC in my room but didn't feel the heat inside despite the raging summer sun outside which was great.

Hidden gem !!

When staying at Agriturismo La Derta, we had arrived very late checkin. Aurelia (not sure about spelling of her name) was extremely kind and accomodating allowing us to checkin in at night. She was a beautiful host throughout our stay and made us feel very welcome. The accomodation itself was very modern, clean and sufficient for a comfortable stay in Bellagio.

Agriturismo La Derta is a short and beautiful walk to Bellagio but away from the crowds. It’s one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever stayed, encouraging you to slow down and enjoy your day. I loved the owners friendly dogs,roosters, and chickens on-site and beautiful patio and garden area. The rooms were simple but beautifully designed, again encouraging a calm mind and restful stay.
