The setting and location of this hotel was excellent! The charming backyard bordering the Thames river was lovely, but the inn was also a few steps away from a local grocery store and right next door to a first tier bakery. The room was a little less than perfectly clean -- there was a spider web with a spider in it when I entered. But I appreciated the heater unit that you could plug in - so many hotels in England have no heating option until November or October.

The stay was delightful, offering great value for money and a lovely breakfast included. The garden was lovely and added to the charm of the place. The room was not huge, and we would recommend bringing an eye mask if you are a light sleeper, but was exactly as advertised and provided a comfortable place to stay. Particular shout out to the staff who were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend staying at the New Inn Hotel if you find yourself in this part of the world.

We wanted an overnight stay on journey to Hereford. It was conveniently situated half way for us. 2 probs for our room......1 of the steps to the bathroom was very steep for OAP & the mirror was placed in such a way that 5' me could see nothing in it. Please remember us 'Little People's Otherwise great

The history of this hotel is very interesting and we appreciated its location. We enjoyed a very nice dinner in the restaurant. Our room was underwhelming for the amount of money we paid. The shower did not drain, and there were several baby spiders in the bathroom sink and near the shower. The noise from the restaurant went pretty late in the evening. We had to keep the windows open because there was no fan provided in the room.
