Hotel La Pace

We stayed for one night, and unfortunately, the experience was unsettling. First, the neighborhood felt somewhat sketchy. Around 1 a.m., someone repeatedly knocked on our door. We called the front desk after the second time, but no action was taken. About 30 minutes later, someone inserted a key into our door and attempted to enter. The hotel’s acoustics aren’t great, so we were able to hear that other rooms on our floor experienced something similar. The next morning, staff told us that a group of drunk guests had returned to the hotel and were noisy and causing problems. However, this explanation didn’t seem to add up. All room keys at this hotel have the room number printed on the keychain, and whoever was at our door was very quiet and did not appear to be fumbling with the keys or otherwise intoxicated or confused. The lack of response from the front desk, combined with someone attempting to enter our room, was very concerning and left us feeling unsafe.

Very happy with our room, good quality bed linen and towels, very spacious bathroom and room.Great breakfast and variety. Very friendly, professional ,obliging staff. Location at Pisa Centrale and couldn't be more convenient to Pisa Airport .I definitely recommend and will stay again when in the area.

We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this place for families. It was easy to find, very comfortable, and the best part was that it was just a short walk from the train station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around.

The hotel is easy to reach from the airport on arrival via the direct Pisa mover. I was a little worried on first glance as I was on my own with my young son, as it is down a side street and there were some groups sitting around by the station . But I can say the town was very well policed and they have a high presence making it feel relaxed and safe when walking through the town at night. The main attractions at the tower, are quite a walk at around 30 minutes but it’s flat and there are lots of bars cafe and the most amazing Gelato store by the river bridge on route which was recommended by the receptionist. The hotel is a little tired I can imagine it was quite grand when first built. It’s fine for a few days site seeing it was quiet with comfy beds and breakfast was good. We especially like the mini pancake machine. We did have some problems with our toilet and it did take a little while to fix as there was no maintenance in the evening but when the maintenance workers came to fix it the next day they were friendly and polite. Overall a good location as a base to explore. If the price is right.
