le Perchoir du Lac

The location of le Perchoir du Lac was amazing. We had a five minute walk in to old city and a good view of Lake Annecy. We really enjoyed sitting on the terrace and taking in the views and fresh air. It was easy to find and access in and out was good. Plus, once we parked the car, we could leave it in a covered garage and never used it during our stay. Both bedrooms had a decent amount of closet space for hanging clothes and unpacking. We really appreciated having Marc meet us and show us how things worked in the building and apartment. Much better than the remote access used by most places anymore.

Toiletries for the bathroom were not supplied which is not a huge deal but the shower in the double bedroom was somewhat difficult to use without two people because there was no shelf in the shower for toiletries such as soap, shampoo, etc. Someone had to be present outside the shower to give them to you as you were showering. Also, the shower did not drain very well so you couldn't put things on the floor or they would float. The sink was also difficult to use as it was in a small area and generated a great deal of splash leaving alot of water on the floor. We would have liked to have had two sets of keys as we were two couples traveling and did not always go together. While we could access the building with a code instead of a fob, we had to leave the apartment unlocked if we were not together and we did not feel comfortable doing this. Finally, the WiFi did not have a great connection when out on the terrace for some in the group.

L'établissement était propre, bien agencé, calme et offrait une belle vue.

Super Lage, ma geht leicht zu Fuss ins Zentrum. Schönes grosses Wohnzimmer mit riesigen Fenstern. Zwei Schlafzimmer, zwei Badezimmer super um zu viert Ferien zu machen.

Die Tiefgarage ist ein Labyrinth, man findet kaum wieder raus.

Location for the town was good. Had a light and airy feel and the balcony was good to sit out on. Showers and hot water supply were good. Parking in the apartment was a bonus.

It was on a very busy main road and it was very noisy with the windows open and without the windows open there was very little ventilation in the bedrooms. The apartment was advertised as having Air con but this was only in the Kitchen/ Breakfast area and not in the bedrooms making the ventilation in the bedrooms more of a problem. One of the bedroom windows could not be opened without moving the bed. A shower in one bedroom has ben added to make it ensuite but this has taken up the wardrobe area and being a small room now compromises the space available. Only half of the blinds worked in the main room and therefore sleeping was compromised as daylight flooded the room from 6.00am onwards. The floors and balcony floors were dirty and appeared not to have been cleaned/washed for some time. Some of the sockets didn't work and the fixtures and fittings were cheap one lamp was broken with bare wires exposed.
