Accommodation superb, everything needed in cottage, very attractive, had use of garden and little paved patio area, owner very pleasant and helpful, had stocked fridge with milk and eggs!

What a gem of a place. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute. The cottage was lovely, very clean and everything you’d need for a holiday and more, a real home from home. The owners live on site so were handy if we needed anything (which we didn’t). The location for us was spot on, in a small hamlet but near enough to lots of places to visit and Suffolk is so pretty. If you’re looking for a cottage with pubs, shops and restaurants within walking distance then this probably isn’t the place for you, there’s a pub with lovely food approx 1.5 miles away and shops around 2 miles away. We would definitely recommend this place.

It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay and there is plenty to do locally if you like to tour.

The location is in a very quiet village with only a few houses. The cottage has two good sized bedrooms and two good sizes sofa's. I feel that the photographs on the web didn't do the cottage justice as it is bigger than it looks on the web. There were three of us (4 on two of the evenings) and we ate in 6 out of 7 nights, and there was enough cooking and dining equipment for what we needed. My mum has limited mobility but found the cottage very easy to get around and the shower was easy for her to get in and out and the host provided a shower chair. The cottage also has two parking spaces and the patio area is a nice space in which to sit. The local town of Harleston has plenty of places to eat out in.

NOTHING. Note - Depending on your needs I would suggest that you check the exact location on an OS map before you book/go (I didn't) as while the cottage post code is Mendam, it is at the end of the village of "Witherdale Street". As such due to the roads it is not possible to walk in Harleston via footpaths.
