We had a lovely time at Myrtle Cottage. The cottage was very comfortable. The shower was hot, and very nice. The toiletries were a nice touch. The toilet was separate to the shower room. There is a dining area and a well equipped kitchen. You can park down the adjoining road. We always had a space. The cottage is very old. It's a listed building. As such it has low ceilings and exposed beams. To get to the bedrooms upstairs you need to use a very tight, steep spiral staircase. There is a banister but it is not for the infirm, young children or those not good with stairs. This was fine for us though. The main bedroom has a double bed then the next twin room is separated by a curtain that you can pop down. We have had unprecedented hot weather and the cottage, along with the rest of the country, was very warm. Fans are in both bedrooms which was appreciated. We had the windows open at night and the large agricultural vehicles do go past in the early hours but when the windows are shut you do not notice the noise as much. The cottage is also perfect for visiting nearby areas like Norwich, Eye, Diss and even over to Great Yarmouth and up to Cromer.
The cottage was fine for us.

Host was really helpful, cleaners were lovely, and the house itself was beautiful. There were also small fans in the bedrooms.
It gets REALLY hot here in summer, and the fans and didn't really do much to beat the heat. A bigger fan or some AC would make this place 10/10

Bags of character.Easy to reach Diss for an event we attended.Clean and tidy.Living area quite spacious.
Description for cottage stated on site parking. There was none. We had to park on the road near to a junction. It was not made clear on description that the second bedroom was accessed through the first bedroom and there was no door between the rooms just a make shift curtain. The stairs are very steep and whilst this was not a problem for us it could be for other users and this info is not in the description details.
