A really cosy stay in a beautiful old house.

We loved the atmosphere

We loved it but were missing a couple of kitchen things- a bottle opener, big bowl for salad, washing up brush.

Not many facilities No microwave Dirty pans left in the oven Stairs are ridiculous Bath is in the bedroom Directions were hard to follow to get to the property The Wifi was pointless

Don't waste your money

The location

The place was dirty. The garden full of stinging nettles. The pool is an above ground plastic paddling pool and it was dirty with leaves floating in it. The slide had mud on it and leaves and it is rusty and broken. In fact all the so called play equipment was unusable and dirty. The owner informed us that his children use the facilities as well. Upon telling booking.com that we could not stay there. They would not respond or offer a refund. I have enclosed photos. Inside the property it was filthy. The cups were not even washed and had brown stains in them. The kettle was full of limescale. There were crumbs on the floor under the table. The stairs are steep and the handrail at the top was wobbly. Making them unsafe. Do not waste your money their are plenty more nice places to stay. I am still fighting to get my money back and booking.com are unresponsive to any complaints. I will not use them again

Location and privacy. Off road parking outside property. TV and radio. Drinks, toiletries and towels provided. Grade 2 listed with interesting history. Outside seating. Homely and quaint.

Difficult to unlock front gate. Narrow windy stairs to first floor. Toilet downstairs. Double bed not easy to get into. Not suitable for anyone elderly or with disabilities. No shower and bath on a ledge.

Great little cottage, very cosy, querky and lovely setting. Comfortable beds.

Could do with a screen to put in front of the bath for privacy.

Cheap and out of the way.

Quiet and secluded.

Narrow stairs and no upstairs toilet. No shower. Odd padlock on gate.
