A lovely family stay.

We had great communication throughout. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us in a large open plan lounge/kitchen and the beds were comfy.

A gem of a stay

Everything. Great stay, clean and comfortable and everything you would need. We came for a family wedding but would love to go again and explore the area more.

If I was being really picky the shower could do with a bit more power but it worked and it was hot so not a problem

A lovely base for exploring this part of Suffolk

We all enjoyed staying here. It was clean, comfortable and welcoming. Equipment was very good, it met all our needs for family catering, although a few more teaspoons would have been perfect. The beds, bathrooms and showers were up to standard with plenty of fluffy towels.

One thing only, and it’s an issue that may soon be resolved so check. Residents are clearly aware of the problem so will be lobbying as well as trying DIY solutions. If you have a low suspension car, the potholes on the approaching lane some two hundred yards before the gates would be a concern. One of our cars was a Porsche and we left it at the cottage until leaving rather than coming and going in it.

Location was fab. Space was great. Facilities great.

The beds were comfy but the mattress weren't great. Far too soft and bouncy but that's just personal taste. The single beds had mattress toppers on which kept falling off the beds and weren't great.

Spacious and comfortable lodge

The property was perfect for our family Christmas stay. Communication with owner was clear with prompt responses and easy to follow directions to property. The property was spacious, clean, comfortable and had everything plus more in the kitchen - cafetiere and airfryers were just a few of the extra items plus basics of fairy liquid / plenty of dishwasher tablets etc. We highly recommend and would stay again without hesitation.

Well equipped clean and comfortable - everything as described.

It was easy to find. Comfortable and clean and well equipped. 5 minutes drive to The Crown hungry horse pub, and a very good 'Claydon chippy.' 15 minutes drive to Ipswich which was picturesque round the waterfront, also lots of shops. I can recommend the university coffee shop on the waterfront - lovely scones. The accommodation is close to woods and ideal for walking - which unfortunately we didn't do as the temperatures were below freezing. Hope to return in warmer weather and use the BBQ!!!!

Very minor point - it would be nice to have hooks in the bathroom for dressing gown etc. The underfloor heating took a while to heat up but it was understandable as it was one of the coldest weekends with January temps minus figures- it was minus 6 when we left! The owner had also provided a mobile oil filled radiator which was appreciated.

mary was an exceptional host! we loved every single minute staying here for our friends wedding. the bbq was definitely a hit with all of us! the home it self was very spacious and everything we possibly needed was available. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a weekend away. thank you for putting up with us mary

Lovely quiet secluded location. Large tv in lounge and lovely reclining chairs on the sofa Ensuite shower was brilliant

Great property, easy to find and high standards of comfort and cleanliness. Well equipped with everything we needed for the weekend, making our stay easy and enjoyable. Mary and David were both close by incase we needed anything and were incredibly accommodating. The garden space is a lovely little sun trap with great options for dining outside. We couldn’t have asked for more

A Great stay In A Very Comfortable Bungalow

I't' a very comfortable and spacious bungalow with good facilities and a nice garden to sit out in when the weather allowqeed. Hosts were there to hand if you needed anything

The design of the shower rooms wasn't the best and the floor flooded very easily

Perfect for our weekend stay - nice quiet location and great accommodation.

The lodge was great and we'd definitely stay there again. The only problem that we had was not being able to spend more time at the lodge itself as we were out at a wedding for most of the time! Though we did manage to squeeze in an excellent long walk in the area on arrival.
